    About time

I do not think that no one could put it as well as you just have. This has need to be said for a long time.

baserunning...I think you have my feelings about right. I really am not an instigator of trouble (no matter what my husband might say :59:).

Ourpasttime...I think your example is an accurate portrayal of the kind of transferring that I have been referring to.

    Braves, I agree...getting a little dizzy here!

Coach 27...wow, that is a thought provoking question. For me, I wish every school could have a man of integrity to lead their program with a great knowledge of baseball and how to teach the game, and a love for kids. (I am glad our school has that) Unfortunately, I don't think that is going to happen. However, I believe that every coach can be fair in allowing players to earn positions, fair in discipline, holding students to a high academic and behavior standards. I agree with LClefty...players should do things the right way. However, if coaches don't show consistency in upholding these standards, I don't forsee most students doing it just for the heck of it. I could go on for a long time, but I won't hog this thread and my brain is getting tired too!

Thats why I say you should play for the high school in the district you live, if you want to attend another high school, move into that district and then you are still playing in the district you reside in... period! No if, and's or buts!!

What do some of you think the incidence of this is? Just enough to stir up some debate, or is it rampant?

There you go bringing up Rose again.:munching_out::music-smiley-004::60:

Can we qualify this incident by saying "illegal" transferring? That way we don't indict them all.

Maybe we all have an instance in mind. My opinion is we can all give our opinion here , but if there is any wrong doing, take a stand. Thats why there is the NCHSAA and your County Athletic Department. They do want to hear your voice and suggestions on how to make North Carolina athletics better.

Braves you brought up a point in this thread about an employer bring in another for a position. I think there would be no fuss if that was an open job. It is harder for one to explain if there is someone in that position. Also, we have to use some common sense here. Why would someone transfer from far (let's say across school zones or counties) away. Unless they are having a major life changing event or they were asked? Point being I think a lot close thier eyes to simple facts. Everyone that has a son or daughter (I use this for all sports) is not going from school to school for an education. It is to play. If the student transfer comes at the beginning (freashman year) nothing said but they came to play. Transfer into a top program and start ????????? SIMPLE MATH!!!!!!

Problem. Outside of hiring a private investagator (question if that would work). Proof!!! You have to remember that the school system has about as many political (MS?) BS roads as the goverment. They cannot manage it now. Bringing it to the front row will take those who are willing to stand the fight in the faces of the political system at its best. They must remember that it will change nothing today. It will be about the future!!!!!!

Okay, I'll respond to this then I'm done.

It is very obvious, the one's that take offense to a transfer are really upset about a particular type of transfer...a recruited transfer.Let's don't lump all of them into the same basket.

I have no respect for a coach involved in a recruited transfer. Although it happens much more often in the other sports, I'm not that naiive to believe it doesn't happen in baseball. I'm not aware of a player changing schools like dbacks changes his underwear...not in Charlotte baseball. I'm sure someone could point out an exception, but the cases would be so rare that they wouldn't be worth mentioning.

If people are upset with this; I would understand. But if people are upset with transfers in general, I suspect you have a different axe to grind.

I know one thing for sure. All of the times this subject has been brought up, I never read one post that castigated the kid that transferred, but didn't start......why is that?
