    football coach absolutely go off on a reporter that had written a hatchet job about the QB the coach had just benched? I love that guy. Here is the link if you have not seen it.

    Talked with ACC office today. Media and conference offices are frying Gundy. I think what he said needed to be said. I want a coach that takes up for his kids.

    I listened to some of the media folks discussing their thoughts on it. Most of comments were obviously supporting their compadre. I swear the media is worse than a policemen's "Blue Line". But some said the reporter was too personal and crossed the line of ethics. Amateur players should not be subjected to the same standards as professionals and be exposed to every wart a nosey reporter suspects

    Media reaction I have heard in the Triangle has been mostly bashing the coach... saying things like "it was scripted", "he did it to help his recruiting", "he should have made a phone call"...

    The media is going to defend their own. They are more concerned what would happen if they did the same thing.

    Outside of some police officers, have you met a larger group of professionals that are more cynical than reporters. I blame the tabloids :laugh4:
