East Burke is a very good offensive team. Defensively they aren't quite as strong, but make no mistake this is a very good East Burke team. I would gladly take East Burke giving 4 points to South Caldwell.

Reynolds will take Alexander, but the AC passing attack will put up numbers against a sub par rockets secondary. Spencer will win this game, his speed and Alexanders lack thereof on D will make the difference. ARC by 24

East Burke will have a field day with South. I bet the close loss to reynolds will get them fired up, that showing is more than most teams can say in the last few years too, this team is talented! South will get revenge come spring, East Burke by 21

Freedom and McDowell both come in with relatively little success. The difference: the schedules. Freedom is not giving up points in thier losses either, McDowell is.The best athelete on the field is on the wrong side of this one. Freedom is too big and angry. Pats by 17

Watauga and Shelby will be an awesome game. Two of the top RB's in the state face off in Boone. Shelby's D is awesome but Watauga has the leading tackler in the state (David Alger) and the third highest in sacks (Grady McKinney) not to mention EB. With a new found passing attack Watauga is more dangerous than ever. Doubt if you like Watauga by 3

ACR and East Burke didn't go to (OT) overtime. ACR won in regulation although the Rockets did score with :20 on the clock to take the win. Again I say East Burke is a good team!

Dan, Freedom and McDowell play the same conference schedule but the overall strength of schedule has Freedom 4th in the 4A play while McDowell is 87th.

    http://www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=hsf&sub=NC#4A

If McDowell was 20th or 30th, I would agree with you. But Laney, Ashley, Fuquay-Varina, E. Chapel Hill and Pinecrest and the only 4A teams in the state that have an easier schedule than McDowell.

Next year, why don't you guys schedule a few jr high's for your nonconference games and you can go into conference play at 4-0.

Thanks for the nice stats Fred, as if you really cared about McDowell or (in that case) Freedom anyway.
