Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
Honestly, I think that East Burke will be very tough to beat, especially at home. They have a great offensive line and really can power the ball down a teams throat. However, they can also throw the ball, because their QB and receivers are all quality players. I haven't seen Watauga this year, but based on the past I think it will be a game similar to our game with them. I am not sure of the speed Watauga has since I haven't seen them, but our speed caused them problems. Our TD's were from 64, 24, 8, 70, 44, and 9 yards out.
Once our backs (TB-Spencer and QB-A-Wall) cleared the backers no one could catch them. I'm not predicting a winner, but I bet it's within 7 points either way.

Excuse me Porky, but I came to this board when it was Charlotte.com back in the fall of 99 under the name FreedomMan1 to follow Patriot football. Any of the old timers can tell you that.

But you are right on one account- I don't care for McDowell one bit. Watching you cry like a spoiled rotten child over the years has left a strong distaste for McDowell in my mind. I'm sure there are some wonderful fans down in Marion, but you give them a bad name.

Fred, thanks for the uplifting story about your arrival on here but I've got you beat by a couple years when it comes to the old days of charlotte.com message boards.

I kinda doubt that, but that's not the point. Just because someone does not live their whole existance for high school football and girls basketball does not mean they are not an observant fan.

    Conference play last year...
    Freedom 4-2
    McDowell 1-5

Freedom at least made it to the playoff's. How far did McDowell get?.... oh yeah... Hardees.

thanks reynoldsrocks23 we do not have as much speed as acr,but i do think we have more than we had last year.we have played the run pretty good, but our pass d has some work to do.east burke will be very hard to beat down there.our passing game has come along good the last two games.acr, east burke, watauga, freedom will fight it out, with acr being the one team to beat its acr con till that happens.i hope the last game with watauga, acr will be for the con but there is alot of football before we get there.the thing about wataua is eric is not doing it all this year ,15-20 times a games is all he is getting the ball, unlike last year he was getting it 35-40 every game and it showed in the playoffs.we have some playmakers on this year team.the weeks coming up will be fun to watch how it all plays out.

Actually, I can vouch for him....He's right. I joined around the same time (Jon Donovan and then later to TitanLightning42, and Nw4A_Pride/TitanPower42) and can also verify that he's at more games than anyone I know. Now that he works for The McDowell News, it's his job. Not only that, he's heavily involved with the McDowell County Youth Football League. Youth Sports is his life.

Then again, you've got way too much time on your hands to be posting on here 29,042 times versus BigDan's 1,427 times.
