Fred I dont know who u think you are coming in here talking about bigdan. He is one of the few true fans there is out. He does a great job around the community and along with the little leagues. You dont need to come in here bashing dan. He knows more about sports than you will ever know. GET'EM TITANS!!!!!

Guys and gals, no need to go back and forth with Fred...he knows himself that he is a Rant & Rave specialist that drops by once every few years to represent Freedom in the Freedom/McDowell rivalry. IF anything I respect the fact he came on here because he's one of few Freedom folks that ever post on here during football season.

    whs-
i was looking at the stats on britenstein(hope i spelled that right) and he has about half the carries of kincaid and has about half the yards. im not sayin that as a bad thing im saying lookin at the numbers he could just as well be on the same pace if he had the carries. was that an emphasis this year on getting him less carries and keepin him healthy for defense too or was that just a added bonus with people taking some of the load off this year?

watauga has some players step up,the martin kid is a good ball player and we are passing the ball better.watauga had over 250 yards rushing last week with eric 14-151 yards, over 450 yards overall and on d we have two very good players david has 79 stops and grady has 10 sacks and he 3 rd in the state on ncpreps.so it should help in the playoffs having some others kids playing well, it is not all eric which is a good for whs.

I keep up pretty closely with WHS so I would love to respond to this. I think circumstances have held Eric’s carrys down this year. Normally he would probably get the ball 20-25 times per game but he got hurt in the 1st quarter against Ashe. He was still nursing that injury against Alexander so he only carried it 14 times. Fortunately, we were able to find our passing game during that stretch. If he is 100%, I think he will go back to carrying it 20-25 times but we do have other guys this year that can step up.

my nephew plays for watauga and said that was the plan not to have eric do it all this year ,if they could get some kids to step,if you look back eric was getting the ball 35-40 times a game last year.before he got hurt at ashe he was not getting the ball as much.beleave me we have some kids playing good football.he may get back to getting it that much in the playoffs but he has some help this year.

    1. I drop in several times a week to catch up. It's just rare I feel the need to post.

    2. Freedom does not see McDowell as a 'rival' any more than it sees South Caldwell or AC Reynolds as one. East Burke has always been, and always be, Freedom's arch-rival.

Indy85 hit it on the head. We were down to Davie so we had to throw to get back in it. Ashe he was hurt and again so vs Alexander. I feel like he will be around 25-30 tonight. However I do not think we will see games this year where he gets to 40 carrys like last year.
