    I agree, in football its more a rivalry for McDowell than it would be for Freedom but its still a rivalry in general.

    Shelby 34
    Watauga 15

    Good game, Watauga just gave up some big plays and failed to get it in the endzone. Eric had about a dozen carries for 95 yards, Beason 9 of 16 passing for 138 yards. Shelby limited thier mistakes, and took advantage of Watauga's. Shelby had a very solid D, faster then anyone I've seen, with a physical line. Yet total yards must have approached 300 for each team, and I would bet that there wasn't 25 yards difference in them. Good game, wish Shelby was 4A, a playoff rematch would be a fantastic game! I would also like to get a shout out to Cam Steury and Dennis McMinamin both really stepping up at WR for Watauga.

    Sounds like Freedom-McDowell was a barn-burner. I got to listen to the first half, but it looks like most of the action was in the 4th quarter and OT!

    Props to both teams.

    It was...probably one of the best Freedom/McDowell games in at least 10 years.

    Should be a great one in Boone next week, the big victory still eluding McDowell, and Watauga trying to make a statement in conference...It's also homecoming at Watauga, just to add a little punch to it!

    the two point conversion wasnt supposed to be a qb keeper from what i have been told. it looked like the defense jumped off sides and they tried to catch freedom but the refs didnt call it. it was obvious something was up because no one else even moved on the line or in the backfield until amerto was way out of the pocket. just another case of bad luck for the titans. good game to freedom though they never gave up.

    looking forward to the kincaid/breiteinstein matchup this week? any body got any predictions?

    Kincaid = More yards
    Breitenstein = A win

    if the pioneers do win i think it will be because of the emergence of the rest of the offense. its hard to win with just one player us titan fans know that from experience. i like breitenstein and respect him as a player it just seems to me they are better this year due to the qb and receivers along with that great running game.
