    I Agree But !!!!

I feel as Prkland feels, but the person that gives the assessment better give an accurate assessment....or it's like the doctor that leaves a sponge inside a patient....IT'S CALLED MALPRACTICE,and there is going to be restitution from that practice considering of all the pain that I have to endure.....Catch my meaning certified travel coaches !!!!

----- TOO LATE FOR OOPS !!!!

    Never said

I never said I didn't want a coach to give a truthful assessment, I said, that some coaches, need help/training on how to be more tactful or sensitive about delivering the truth! I am pretty sure that my assessment of my own DD is tougher than others sometimes!
Don't misunderstand me, I don't think that my DD should be handled with "sissy gloves"! My DD is no "Prema Donna" on any field or at home! You are right there are enough of those out there already! Just saying, don't take petty things that happen on your team and add them to your assessment of a player, to another coach, be it college or TB, HS!
I always say if you don't make mistakes, then you don't learn! You can't improve, if you don't know what to work on! There isn't anyone, who doesn't/can't improve at all times. I don't care how long you play, coach, parent, etc... You can always improve, grow and learn!

I believe what people are upset with is this type scenario, not whether a coach is giving his/her opinion of one's ability.

...."I just want you all to know that if you EVER leave MY team, you will NEVER come back......just like XXXXX who went to play with XXXXX....she can kiss her sweet a** goodbye.....she will never step foot on MY field again..."

    Agree

Agree and amen, most "certified" travel coaches will not hold grudges or try to harm any kids chances of getting a college ride, at least I hope they would not. If they do, I agree with GURU, they need to get out of the game.

    Oh Abbey the General....

Oh Abbey, I hate to be the one to point this out, but it is TRUE, there are indeed travel ball, supposed certified (some people call this person that), that would indeed tell untruths (and did), about a player, to try to destroy a players chances, at playing college ball! I know this for a fact! Sorry but this does happen and it shouldn't!

    Maybe its time.....

....for Daddy to coach on the field and not from the stands? no dog in the fight!......but, I'll answer my own question, BAM, don't go in that direction pops. All coaches are horrible, don't we know that? What makes another DAD who cares get the same crap that all of his kids coaches got? Nothing, Yes, pitchers dads are the worst, but they know enough to give their tijme and $ to try to help the team. Not just pitchers dads are problems, so too are their wives who keep the books, or dumbass dads in the stands who can't keep their mouth shut, ( that would be me ). Why is it that everybody thinks that their kid would be better off somewhere else? Because we as parents love them unconditionally! That unconditional love does not and will not turn into a magic potion that will make our kids better ballplayers. But we as parents can lace that magic potion on the kids and make them better people!!

    I can see clearly now....

.....by Uncle Charlie says bookoos if we at TBR will apply it to the unfortunate negative side of possible coaches, teachers, employers that we all deal with. GET IT? DEAL WITH IT. ...until the rain is gone. When that time comes you'll wish you did!
