NW4A - Week 11

Okay, two weeks left, lets hear what you think about this week....

WEEK 11 GAMES:

AC Reynolds at South Caldwell
Alexander Central at McDowell
Watauga at Freedom

 

acr,watauga,mcdowell,a watauga win would set up a huge game with acr ,with watauga having a shot to share the nw4a title.would be watauga 1st as a member of the nw4a,and the 1st con title since 1981.but we got to beat freedom 1st.

McDowell (Im going totally based on trends here ACHS has not won a road game) its Buggy's last home game.....emotional night....I give the edge to McDowell. A close game....31-28

 

AC Reynolds at South Caldwell - ACR 35 - 14 South Caldwell
Alexander Central at McDowell - Alexander 21 - 42 McDowell
Watauga at Freedom - Watauga 28 - 21 Freedom

ACR should handle South fairly easy. ACHS and McDowell play a very similar game it not for Kincaid. Buggy will be the big difference. Watauga will have to play hard but will be in control of this game. I hope they don't look ahead to next week. Then again Freedom may be looking ahead to EB.

 

You are very close to looking ahead. Don't fall into that trap like I did. I don't know what to expect for this week. Eric only carried the ball 12 times against SC and we won. He carried it like 15 against EB and we lost. SC had the ball for a lot longer than we did and we won. EB had it longer and we lost. I'm so confused but here is my best guess:

ACR over SC
MHS over AC
WHS over Freedom (but only if Eric carries it between zero and 45 times and if we possess the ball between 0 and 48 minutes.) I am still looking forward to that last week in the NW4A.

 

ACR over South.. No need to explain that one
Watauga over Freedom.. Watauga wins easily. EB sets the tone for this game.
AC over MHS.. Buggy will get his unless ACR's D shows up and plays for us Friday. The reason i think the cougars win this game is because McDowell stacks 8 in the box and as we all know the cougars are nothing but a passing team although they did run the ball very effective last week. I'm expecting the cougars to ride Josh Russells arm through this one.

 

acr-south- reynolds by alot. spencer is too fast and the cabral brothers are too good against the run with the rest of the reynolds defense. rockets by 21
watauga-freedom- watauga will win another game against an inferior team. will set up a big game in boone against the rockets-dont get to excited pioneers it aint gonna happen! freedom will play early then slack off late. watauga by 17
mcdowell-alexander- well the titans will not have 8 in the box against the pass happy cougars. kincaid will have another huge night for the titans like always and gain atleast 250. by the way its his and many other titan players senior night- its been my privilage watchin number 24 run this year and last-only imagine what his career numbers would have been if he had played at all his sophmore year(torn acl). i see the titans putting up good offensive numbers friday just depends on if the d shows up or not. im tired of picking wins so im gonna leave it up to the players like it is every week.

 

they are alot of teams this year that would lose to shelby and east burke,davie is not as good as they have been but still a good team.acr just got by east,and they got it handed to them by shelby in presesason,so why do you think watauga is not a good team,would you be saying that if mcdowell had only lost to shelby,east or,davie no you would not.no one in the conference is as good as they were last year not watauga or acr,east is the only team that is better,and we was good enough to beat mcdowell.

 

mtnman that is your opinion. opinions are available to everyone and you are most certainly entitled to yours. however i have seen both teams(watauga and reynolds) and to me its obvious that reynolds is the better team. honestly i cant believe that east burke played as close to them as they did after what i saw friday night. all three are better than my team because we lost to them all. im not starting an argument with you its just the way i see things. and that doesnt mean alot to anyone so why shoud it to you? you guys think you can win thats good. i just dont see you guys beating the rockets this year. if im wrong il be the first one to get on here and tell you congratulations. you guys didnt beat east burke(12-28), and lost bad to shelby and davie. you have beat the teams that are worse than you and lost to the ones better. why would that change against reynolds?

 

If we play EB 10 times, i think we win at least 5. From what I've heard, we game planned for Frogge and not Shatley. Until that game, i don't think Shatley carried the ball as many as 25 times in one game. We have gotten beaten by some great teams this year but none of them have completely outmanned us. We are good enough to hang with anybody but young enough to lose. If we win out the rest of the year, the 4A playoff teams better be on alert. Just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions. They are just like . Everybody has got one.
