Ok this whole discussion is irrelevant. Watauga made its schedule tougher at the start of the season so that when we got to the playoffs and the ACR game we had played somebody with more size and speed. Playing West Caldwell, Hibriten and Wilkes Central was not helping that. WHS plays last years schedule this year and we are 8-1. But we are not. Our schedule might have given us two more losses but if they helped us prepare to beat ACR and succeed in the playoffs then it did its job. I will trade a win vs Davie for a win over ACR next Friday any day. Heres the deal people saying that we arn't as good of a team this year vs last is just plain wrong. We have more offensive balance and a better pass rush. EB ran us over, plain and simple. They controlled the heck out of that game and deserved the win but people downing WHS saying we haven't beaten anybody is fine because we haven't up till now, but we are better prepared to do that with our slate.

BTW- Wasen't this whole argument started by a McDowell fan, two figures for them 38-29 and 2-8 (1-4).

you are right spencer would have had more carries, and acr was running the spread offence but, shelby is really good i dont know if acr could beat them this year ,it would be a good game.and whs thats what i am trying to say we are better playing shelby and davie.just look back at the 1st game we played acr they were faster and bigger than anyone we played then in the playoffs we had seen 1st hand what acr was all about and we played alot better the 2nd time around ,and i would say that the game with shelby and acr that shelby did not play with all there all star players the whole game just like acr did not it goes both ways.

What they saw in Icard a couple weeks ago was more than enough "D" 120 total yards. So they have seen good "D". granted not #1 in the country but good enough.

watauga lost that game, but lets look at this way,21-12 watauga ball eric gets 5 yards the next 2 plays we pass then and give it right back to east.now if watauga runs eric 3 times 1st down what we did not do was play smart on the offence side of the ball.so we helped east out alot with our play calling in that game.eric had 12 carries for 61 5.1 yards per carry.now east has a great team but can be beat.if watauga plays east again i am sure we would run the ball with eric and do what you did to us .time control on the offence side of the ball

football22,shelby d is just as good as if not better than acr , and at the time we got more yard agaist shelby than they have give up so for when we played them.and acr d is nowhere as good as last years d they had the fasted d i had seen in hs last year.we will score on acr ,winning i dont know about that.but i do know watauga will play hard with alot of heart and if ace thinks they get of the bus and win.we will have a 3 way tie for 1st because watauga will beat them again.

ACR @ South Caldwell: Just a warmup for the Rockets heading into next weeks battle with Watauga. Spencer should have a pretty big game and the defense should swarm all over the Spartan offense. I'll pick Reynolds by 17 just because playing down at Sawmills can sometimes provide odd outcomes and given the fact that we'll likely have sloppy turf. Reynolds will dominate but not in a total blowout.

Alexander Central @ McDowell: It's senior night at McDowell and the last game in the career of one of the most exciting tailbacks that has ever played in this conference. Buggy (and the rest of the seniors) we appreciate the work you all have put in as a varsity football players. I pick the Titans to win in a thriller.

Watuaga @ Freedom: Looking at the numbers this has blowout written all over it. Hence this is a serious "trap game" for the Pioneers. This will be a 6-10 point game in favor of Watuaga that will decided in the fourth quarter.
