Reynolds seems to have graduated a lot but has a good coach in place. The other mountain conferences stack up as such. In the MAC 3A, TC Roberson as usual will have to be beaten as this team never beats themselves. In the WAC 2A West Henderson returns a strong team graduating only 3 starters but the team to keep an eye on will be Brevard. Brevard has been making some noise the past few years and return a solid bunch. In the Smoky Mtn 1A, look for Swain to take it. I think they return about everybody.

    Southeast Guilford and Ragsdale

I do believe Ragsdale will be good, young, but good. However I'm not sandbagging when I say Southeast Guilford will be the conference favorite. Defending State runner-up and they have Cockman and Moyer returning on the mound as well as Venable. Seniors with talent. They're a good team.

NW4A should be closer this year but South has to be the favorite, top pitcher in league Jimmy Messer, top hitter in league in Brad Chavis and arguably the best overall coaching staff in the league. I say overall because they must have 8 to 10 coaches. Also jvs have been pretty good. If they can develope chemistry this team will be tough. Watauga should finished 2 and ACR 3rd.

In the MAC, don't forget about Asheville High. Their new coach has turned things around quickly there. they made the playoffs in his first year. First time in 20 years. Their fall team is in the championship of the WNC Fall Baseball Tournament. They beat Reynolds and Roberson back to back to be the only undefeated team left in the tournament. They play West Henderson for the championship Monday night. Keep an eye on the Cougars!

I don't understand how someone else earlier on this post could've overlooked us...Alexander will surprise some people if they are over .500. I'm sorry but they are hardly a contender without Harrington. He was the soul of the team. Granted they still have a Aaron Millsaps, Josh Russell and Ethan Ford, thats about as far as they go...and I don't know much about their younger guys but they didn't do noticeable well when we played them.

South has Messer and Chavis. When Messer isn't pitching, they're the team to beat...and I think that they're beatable. Messer is quite the talented pitcher so they'll get atleast 10 wins out of him. Chavis is a powerful hitter.

    AC Reynolds...has.............Alexander Wall.

Now, I don't know how we were overlooked. I don't know if we're going to be plagued by injury, sickness, etc. But we have a group of guys that have been together for their entire life. We know each others strengths and weaknesses up and down and we're the closest thing we've had to a team since I've been here. We don't have overpowering pitching, but we have smart pitchers. We have hitting up and down our lineup and we'll always have defense. That's what Coach prides us in...

I appreciate PUP you actually giving us credit.

When I read the post where Watauga wasn't mentioned, I just smiled.

Pioneer, let them "fly you under the radar". I'm absolutely sure Coach Hardee doesn't mind. Predictions don't mean anything, anyway. (except mine:44:)
