Watched a couples teams play in the AAU Nationals in Concord NC before I headed to Statesville NC to see some games there. I enjoyed the game between the Mudslingers and Lady Sluggers. Also enjoyed talking to all the folks on both teams. Casey you did a good job behind the plate and with that big bat of yours today. Wow! you just get better all the time. Good to see ya! It was good to see Christy a former player for the Lady Sluggers. Nice talking with Bobby and his wife. Some of the others I talked with were David, Sid & Christie, Bill, Karen, Norm, and several others. Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk with you Nathan. Here are some pictures of the game. Hope you enjoy.

Congrats to the Foothills Phantoms on the tournament win in Concord this weekend. I'm unsure on the scores or who they played, just got text messages saying they won it. This team is made up mostly of Freedom High School kids, a player from South Caldwell, Watauga, and East Burke.

    Good Job girls!

The Phantoms won the tourn in Concord this weekend finishing undefeated, the championship game was against the Lady Jackets from Lancaster SC, what a great game. The Jackets were leading going into the last Inning 2-1 and the Phantoms tied the game and then won 4-2 on a 2 run single by Amber Houston. Great job girls, only allowing 3 runs all weekend.

Ashley Hasson -WP, pitched all weekend
    Megan Waters- Solo HR
    Nicole Reilly- Several RBI's
    Baby Evitt- Several RBI's

Coach, I didn't get to see the Phantoms play while I was there Sat. I have seen several teams play from Burke and surrounding counties this year. They are all very talented teams and are around for the late sunday games. Foothills softball teams are some of the teams to beat in HS and Travel Ball these days. Everyone involved, keep up the good work.
