AC Reynolds at Watauga Official Game Thread

I think this game deserves its own game thread. Share of league title and 4A #1 seed up for grabs.

Watauga fans please show up in force and early and be loud. Make it crazy Friday night for Eric's last home game potentially and for all the seniors.

 

Watauga can definitely beat ACR, they have the team to do it.

However, i have seen ACR down & beaten (or should have been beat) a couple or more times already this year, and it didn't happen. The opposing team just let it slip away. I think ACR is a descent team that just knows how to win -- they are good, but they do not have the best team in the conference.

So, yes, watauga you guys can beat them (other words, it wouldn't be a shock or a fluke), just don't let it slip away.

 

How can you say that ACR has been down a couple of times this year and should have been beat? I am pretty certain that Watgua will not be near as good as Asheville or TC Roberson. They were down by 7 at halftime against East Burke but they also blew a 14 point lead. After that they have blown by everyone else in the confernce. Their only defeats have come to the #6 and #7 teams in the state in 3A. Since the East Burke game the defense has greatly improved and they will only continue to get better. They are starting 9 juniors on the defense. Watagua is a good football team but they have showed weakness with their run defense as it shows against Mcdowell and East Burke, and the part that is bad for the Pioneers is thats what the Rockets do the best. The rockets have already showed they can stop a great runner in Kincaid. Ask him how it feels getting hit time after time by the Cabrals. Reynolds is out for revenge and they will win by atleast 14.

Rockets will be hungry for revenge. ACR wins this one by 21 points

 

i must that a win by 21 seems a bit large there mean green...im sticking to more on the single digit win...and it could go either way...

 

Watauga by 3

 

watauga will not be talking in the newspaper about last year and that they are going to win,they will let there play on the field do there talking .whs24-acr23 and acr could not beat shelby and might not beat davie watauga has a lot more than eric this year.and as good as kincaid is,he is not a hard nose runner like eric. good luck to both teams hope everyone has a safe trip up the mountain

 

I would like to see Watauga win to create a three way tie for first with East but honestly i dont see it being close. Watauga has been winning but acr has been beating the same teams by twice as much. I say ACR by at least 14.

 

Watuaga has played three quality teams this entire football season (Davie, Shelby and East Burke) and has loss each game by at least 16 points. AC Reynolds is a quality team so I guess that makes my prediction pretty easy.

 

Spencer should be fired up after last year. But going and spouting off to the paper is just bulliten board material.

The easy prediction is ACR Big or ACR period.

People you forget that ACR has not played in Boone since we have gotten better (last year). The atmosphere, the pageantry, the noise, will have an effect. If WHS gets a fast start lookout. This will be a huge test for both sides.
