Truthfully, it’s hard for any of us to know who should be offense/defense POY as we do not have access to all the needed information..... Coaches have a hard enough time deciding on this. Coaches just have more access to more information in conference as a whole.

However, there are a few players that will stand-out in any conference, like; Kincaid, Russell, Spencer, Eric B., Cabral (see I’m probably missing some one)

All of these guys are great athletes and contribute a lot at their positions on the field and probably even more off the field (leaders).

The two that stands out the most for me is 'Buggy' Kincaid and Josh Russell. Kincaid has had an amazing year without much help; Russell’s passing is amazing considering no running game. Both have put up 5000 yds of Offense - despite deliberate defensive game plans designed around them. They probably deserve Co-POY (offense).

On defense, honestly I’m not sure of all the numbers, but I do know that Eric B. and Cabral are very tough and sure tacklers. They stand out the most to me.

I think they are about equal in talent. ACR just had a 1 better quarter when they played each other.

so if they are roughly equal in talent, and if acr wins at watauga, shouldnt the first year coach at ACR get the nod for winning the conference over an equally talented team. Talent and coaching wins ball games not preseason expectations

    so in this case

    (Tr + Cr) > (Teb + Ceb)

if Tr = Teb them Cr > Ceb

You make a solid argument against the other guy's points, but AC is way more talented than anyone in the NW4A conference. It is obvious when you watch them as a fan that they have more team speed and better athletes than anyone in the conference. AC just has a better talent pool than anyone else. That being said, I see no reason why their coaching staff should still not be rewarded for maximizing that potential year in and year out.

The game I saw at East Burke must of been a different game than you saw. If not for a turnover with less than a minute left that game would have ended in a tie. It was probably the best football game I've seen in 20 years. I personally don't think that the talent at ACR is superior to East Burke or Watauga. Look at the stats Frogge is the second leading rusher in the conference. Shatley is a truck. Boughman is the 3rd leading receiver. ACR had a great game against East Burke but they also had alot of luck. Hopefully the luck will run out in Boone Friday.

the only difference between east burke and reynolds is speed. the rockets have more team speed and the defense against mcdowell was like a pack of dogs. east burke is just as solid on offense, special teams and they dont lack size or physicalness-if thats a word. reynolds however has the cockiness(not a bad way just knowing that they are supposed to win) needed and the tradition of winning that none of the schools have in the nw4a, thats the difference, biggerstaff is getting that attitude in burke co. and snow is getting it instilled at watauga. both teams are well coached and they are the two best teams easily in the conference. both have play makers at the key positions and they both are strong every where. you can tell that both take full advantage of the weight room.those two teams are 2 plays difference of each other. two plays the other way and east burke is undefeated.

I don't want to degrade ACR. They have a great team and deserve to be conference champs. Cleotis Junebug is more like a hummigbird in a hurricane. He needs to wait till after the playoffs before making the statements he made.
