AC Reynolds at Watauga Official Game Thread

even though he did call you guys mountaineers- come on its pioneers- the result wont change. i have no dog in this fight but just looking at both teams since i have watched both, on paper reynolds should win.and sicne none of us are playing theres not much we can do about anything else. whs will be ready but they will not run the ball against ac reynolds. eric may get 50yds just because he is tough and has a decent line. the passing game better be on for whs or this will get ugly. goodluck to both teams but i see reynolds winning by atleast 10. after all this talk the last few weeks and the scenario from last year if the rockets get up, dont look for the dogs to be called off. reynolds is just better.

 

ill bet anyone on here 100 bucks that the ASU MOUNTAINEERS do NOT lose this Friday... anyone... shoot lets make it 200 bucks... if the MOUNTAINEERS lose this Friday then it will be one of the first Fridays ive ever even seen them play on... much less lose... now the PIONEERS thats a different story

they could not hold eric to under 50 yards last year, 100 1st game and over 100 the 2nd game,and there d is not as good this year

i think that their(reynolds) defense is better this year, you guys can say what you think and im not gonna argue over things that dont concern me- im from mcdowell and we are done- but after friday night when the lbs from reynolds dominate we will see whos posting on here monday. if im wrong il be the first to apologize(but dont think that will be necessary). just dont see the pioneers pulling this one out and the key words in the post that didnt like what i wrote earlier was last year. watauga was better last year and reynolds is better this year. good luck to both teams tomorrow night.

also congrats to eric on the shrine bowl. he deserves to be there.

What is your 27-17 Watauga win based on? All anyone else can see is you loosing to Shelby, Davie and you were just plain hammered by EB so is it just a upset prediction or have you brought in the army or something?

Breakwind- you keep calling me out. We won't know for sure until the game is played. We are talking about 16, 17 and 18yr old young men. Butt since you asked, I'll accomodate. My guess is that Davie and Shelby are far superior to ACR. However, the score of those games did not reflect, IN MY OPIOION, the closeness in talent. At those times, WHS didn't use all the weapons at their disposal. Running the ball and SHORT passes help control games. We wanted and sometimes still want to be a verticle passing team. If we mix the run and short crossing routes, making sure we get it to our "hands guy(s)", then we are unstopable. If we run on predictable downs and then throw deep, we are ineffective. In the 3 losses, we did the later, or is it the former, (you know what I mean), of the two and were ineffective. East Burke was just a bad game all around. It reminded me of our game with Alexander Central last year. No matter what we did, they had an answer. The only difference is that I don't think we could have beaten Alexander Central last year. They were too balanced. East Burke is not. So to finish answering your question. Part A: in no way would a win by us be an upset in this game and...Part B: We have enlisted around 30 guys for active duty and they will be marching in for war sometime on Friday. Thanks for asking.
