East Burke is plenty balanced when they need to be. Note the ACR-EB game.

but if nobody else can stop the run,.......why do anything else?

 

east burke has a good football team but who have they beat,in non conference everyone you played had a down year or just are not very good watauga is the best team you have beat.if east played shelby they would lose bad,and davie would beat you to ,but i hope you do well in the playoffs

 

Your guys better take care of Freedom first. I picked Freedom in that one and before you ask...yes it will be an upset and Freedom better bring an army and so on and so on...

Just to clear the air, East did scrimage Shelby, I think Shelby out scored East by 1 touchdown in the ten minute offense drill, but when they played one 12 minute quarter, (Whick I know is not a full game) East drove down the field and scored plus the 2 points and left Shelby with only 3 minutes on the clock, Shelby did not score. Like I said it was not a whole game but Shelby couldn't stop East either. So the Shelby theory doen't hold water. By the way Go watauga, (We need a share of the title).

 

seeing both east and shelby,shelby is by for the better team,now none of this means nothing,you beat us you have a good team this year,there are 3 teams in the nw4a that are good this year.everyone talks about we lost to shelby,davie,east.well there are alot of teams in the nw4a that would lose to those teams.acr,east would not beat shelby.all i am saying is that nobody in the nw4a has played very good non conference teams,acr played 2 good teams and lost ,east beat everyone they played but,the teams you beat are not all that good this year newton,maiden,fred t ford,starmount,we lost to shelby,davie,acr beat owen,and tuscola, and lost to the 2 teams they played that are pretty good.so why does everyone come down on watauga when no one in the conference has beat very good teams outside the conference.good luck to all the teams in the nw4a in the playoffs.

 

I smelled something funny coming to work this morning. I think somebody was opening a can of "whupass" out by Reynolds. The aroma will probably spread all the way to Boone tonight. I smell a thumping coming.

 

because you've been barking all year long about how you were going to beat or at least stay close to Davie and Shelby and then go through the conference and win the championship. When in reality you have accomplished none of that. You guys lose by a significant margin to Davie and Shelby, and next thing we know you guys are spinning that around saying that it will prepare you for the conference. Then when you play East Burke, you get thumped again. Hate to break the news to you but this isn't last year's magical run.

Your right in that for the last two years we have been the squeaky wheel and now we are getting greased. What would you have us do though. Should we complain about the schedule and cry gloom and doom. I have been around Watauga teams that have been completely outmatched. We were not this year. All of those losses came down to a handful of plays. Last year was magical...this year it is expected. If we beat ACR tonight, all of it is justified. If not, we are still in the playoffs.
