    Sorry,
for they delay in posting, but have spent a large majority of the day at the fields. It seems like they have schedule either everyone to play every other game or that you have a DH and then a single game. Anyway, it appears that the NC teams are holding their own agains other SC, VA, MD, etc. teams..

Cape Fear Storm won at least 2 today, the Knockouts and NC Angels both won. Other than that, sorry to say that we have not had a chance to move throughout the complexes because we have had a one on, one off schedule all day... and I totally forgot to bring my camera at all this weekend, but looks like the NC teams are doing well.

    Go NC Teams!

Have heard a few scores, and yes Mama Duck it does appear as if the NC teams are doing well in Myrtle Beach. Lady Blues 18U went 4 & 0 on Saturday, and have two games left to play on Sunday, including what should be a very good game against the Hampton Roads Vipers. Lady Blues bats have come to life this weekend, with 5 home runs hit on Saturday. Homeruns came from Constance Orr (2), Kara Gordon, Jessica Bonham (monster blast over scoreboard in left center) and Amy Muessen. The pitching combination of Constance Orr, Taylor Beam and Stephanie Spain, is performing very well.

Here are the scores from Saturday's games:

    Blues 5 Travelers (SC) 2
Blues 6 Challengers Silver (NC) 2
Blues 7 Extreme Chaos (GA) 2
Blues 8 Diamond Warriors (SC) 0

    Sunday Schedule:
10:50am vs. Winter Park Riptide (NC)
12:15pm vs. Hampton Roads Vipers (VA)

Good Luck to all the NC Teams on Sunday!

Constance Orr has turned a lot of heads in HS and TB. She will be turning a lot on heads next year at the next level, as one of the youngest players ever to play softball in the NCAA. Taylor Beam, Taylor Allen, and Stephanie Spain are young players also. Look for them to excel in HS and travel ball next season. These young ladies are future D1 material. Keep playing hard ladies. There's a lot of folks watching you!

    Charlotte Cobras at MB

The Charlotte Cobras went 4-2 overall at the WFC Early Signing Showcase. Excellent team effort by all players. Wins against Blue Breeze, Lady Orioles (MD), Dominators Gold and Richmond Rampage. Losses to Md Magic (Wagners??) and Diamond Fever. Impressed by the number of colleges at Pepper Geddings.

    Thanks

These three young ladies all did well this weekend. Spain pitched well and moved into the #2 spot hitting and got some key hits. Taylor Beam coming back from a serious injury to her hand and wrist pitched well including a shutout Sat night. She also played well in the field. Taylor Allen is one of the better young catchers, calling her own pitches, framing well, and throwing out runners. Once she improves her bat, watch out! Hard worker and student of the game. Paul, thanks for the kind words, we started four 2010, one 2011, two 2009, and two 2008 and lost 2-1 on two unearned runs in first inning to Vipers. Hampton Road pitched a kid that is signed with Maryland and threw very well, hitting 65+ at times. We had some mistakes in first inning but played well afterwards. Constance Orr pitched a gem of a game and Kara Gordan hit one off the top of fence. Nice weekend 5-1. All the kids gave a good effort. We are young but hopefully will improve.
One kid that was very hot was Jazz, she is a 2010 and watch out for her, one of best outfielders I have ever seen and also plays a mean short. Olivia, Shaundee, Amy, Jess, Jennifer, Stephanie Simmons, and Tish all contributed in a big way. The team chemistry was unreal. Beautiful weather, nice fields, umpires were average at best. Had a good one behind the plate for Vipers game, she was very consistent with both teams and got in place to make calls. Lot of uncertainty by umpires which hurt both teams at times.

The Randolph Rage went 5-1 this weekend, with some great playing by all the girls. Best all around hitting team we have ever been on. Top to bottom in the line up, everyone had a good weekend.
Can't wait to start back up in the Spring.
Wtg Brittney Garren (not sure about the sp.) for going yard. Left center about 230.

    Jazz

Jazz Robbins is the real deal. Known her fior several years now. She can play anywhere, even pitch if she wanted to.
Jazz you sure would look good in a Carolina Blue uniform in Chapel Hill one of these days.
