    Just Noticing....

I am not trying to stir a pot or anything, but I have noticed in a lot of the pics from the weekend, of the various pitchers, from various teams, tournaments, a lot of these pitches have to have been illegal, due to the fact that one foot was not in contact with pitching rubber, while ball was still not released. (Per NSA Rule book - Rule 6 Sec 2.) Is anyone else noticing this?
But on an UP note, I love the pics!

Nothin' new. I have never seen a travelball Ump call an illegal pitch (crow hop). Never! I'm sure it has happened. But not anywhere that I was at.

    Rare I agree...

But I actually have seen them call it, more I have seen them warn a pitcher of it and do nothing when she continues!

as a matter of fact girl, they called my daughter for it when we played against your daughter in charlotte. i remember that one well. they called it a crow hop, but actually, when the ump was behind her, she'd take a full step off the rubber and then throw that nasty curve ball. hey, dont look at me, i didnt teach her that. honest!!!!:19:

    Oh sorry Dude....

Hey I can't be held responsible for calls made! LOL
As we all know it happens, a lot, but you know I don't mind an occassional crow hop, or step off the rubber by an inch or so...I do however mind when it is an every pitch type of thing, you know! I feel like if my DD is going to have to be legal, everybody else should too! You know?
    No harm No foul!!!

    Hey I remember when....

Hey, I remember a tournament in Rock Thrill, one summer, where the pitcher started her motionby spinning around on the mound (to face the outfield) then made like a bird in flight, ballerina, type of move to spin herself back facing the batter! And through strikes that way! It was quite amazing to watch! Now do I think that it was legal, no, I don't see how it could be. All motion from pitcher, following pause, should be forward motion. I don't think that can be accomplished by turning to face the outfield! But hey it was sure interesting, watching her throw that way! LOL

    I just know...

I just know that it made for lots of conversation while that game went on! We all said we couldn't believe she was throwing strikes like that! Now there is a way to combine dance and fastpitch! LOL Maybe an entire team should try it sometime! LOL
