Did a post get deleted or something? Who is hating on the Watauga pitchers?

Lordy Pete, you got a scrappy bunch this year, on and off the field.

I think some of them just came off the field and are in the dead time of winter workouts.

If Coach Hardee were to give any advice it would be to let your talking be shown on the field and not get into all of this predicting. It should be a good thing if people are underestimating you because then you can shock them when the season starts. So I think the best idea would be to just let it this go and get ready for the season!

    respect all fear none

Braves- I appreciate all you do for baseball in N.C. You are welcome at WHS anytime! I try to get my teams to play hard and hustle on and off the field. I try to get them to respect the game and play it the right way. You must have class on and off the field. When poor decisions are made on the field I try to deal with it in the right way. My wife is a great resource in this area. WHS posts- Respond with class and character on and off the field! Prove yourself on the field. Respect all and fear none!

Coach, I receive quite a few emails from your players. I can not express how impressed I am with them. They represent you and your community very well. I hope one of your players realize I was just kidding with you about coming up there to pitch. I'm not sure that my rag arm can throw a ball across the plate; and I might be just a tad too old to qualify. But then again they didn't have birth certificates when I was born.

..and just so you know, I love WHS and his posts. He's a very fine young man and doesn't take this "prediction" stuff seriously.

    Your players represent you well.

MY PRE - SEASON STANDINGS & THOUGHTS...

1 - South Caldwell - I don't think you can bet against these guys b/c they brang it to the diamond every night they play.... They lost a lot of seniors and Bumgarner so it will be tough to repeat, but with Messer "Bulldog" they can.....

2 - Alexander - Got to go at least in top 3 with this club Coach Comer as coming back....Talking about losing a STUD (Harrington) it will be hard to replace this kid.... along with 2 other fellow seniors which was a big part of the line-up last year.... The Cougars will start at least 8 seniors this year and traditionly the Cougars are hard to deal with when they have a lot of experience.....With Russell(C), Sigmon(P), Ford(2nd) and Co. they will have a solid squad with several jv's coming up to help out.....

3 - Watauga - I know Watauga did not loss a lot from last years team so they will be setting pretty coming into the conference.... Coach Hardee usually has a hard non-conference to help his team come crunch time....Probably the well-best, coached team in the NW4A, so add that to what he is bringing back to the stack he could have a full house....and maybe finishing higher than 3rd in the conference.....

4 - ACR- They are always solid, but will have to regroup from last years losses (Their ACE)....This kid was a stud on the mound for ACR (will be hard to replace him)....ACR generaly has a lot of talent down there so they will regroup and make a good run at the conference title this year if they can stay healthy....

5 - Freedom - This is the sleeper of the conference in my opinion, they have every starter back from last years team maybe except 1, this team is lead by their CF (kid is going to be good)......(same team that basically went to the Little League WS as well).... If the (young) coach from Freedom can focus this young team, could be trouble for some of the top teams in the conference....I guess we will see what happens..... I think this team could easily finish in the top 3 in the conference if they play together..... KEY NOTE: They gave Alexander one of their few losses at Home last year!......

6 - East Burke - They have the soph. pitcure that was basically a one man show last year coming back for them as a junior this year (can not remember his name sorry!)......This kid is the real deal, went down to the wire with Harrington (Alexander) last year @ McDowell and hit a HR off him (Harrington) to eventually loss the game 2-1 (AC won).....They could steal a couple games out from under some teams this year......

7- McDowell - I really do not know anything about this team coming back for the titians this year.....They will probably be imporved from last year, don't underestimate your opponents......

    Closure:
I watch every team play last year and this is what I came up with for this up coming season in the NW4A, but remember just my thoughts, I think any team can beat another on any given day, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN THAT TEAM BUT JUST FOR THAT NIGHT!.......GOOD LUCK TO THE TEAMS AND TO YOUR TEAM!..........

It was brought to my attention that my post came accross alittle hotter or made me seem kinda pissed i didnt mean to do that at all. I am just saying i think Wat. pitching is a "sleeper" but who knows they might make me look like an idiot when season starts if they screw up.

Watauga will be fine. This may be the best team they have had since 2003 (I believe it was when Greene was a Junior.)

I believe by the end of the season the Pioneers will be battling it out for 1st. Of course, I like South Caldwell and Alex Central, too...and as someone said, ACR is always good.

I mentioned Freedom as a surprise this year, but I was told that many of the players transferred to the new school...is that not the case? Where you at Captain? fill us in!

I know a couple of the old Freedom players and they all transferd to a new school Patton. From what i have heard the only returning starter is their centerfielder Reggie
