Why

is there so many new threads about someone singing to play at the next level.

Is there not a sticky thread about 2008 commitals???? Is that not where these should go???????

 

I think its great there are all of the posts !!! This is what most of the girls play for and they should be recognized on an individual basis for their years of hard work and dedication. Besides they are a lot better than the cometfan, guru, cheese, fagala are the greatest posts that seem to pop up all the time. They are good people but do we really need to hear it ??? I thought this site was for the girls and the game of softball !!!!

This site is for the girls and the sport, The individual threads for each girl that signs is great and will be continued. This is by far the best year for our NC girls signing since we started fastpitch in NC 11 short years ago.
As far as recognizing some of the grownups, I think that is ok too. If it were not for guys like Cometfan,Cheese and others Many of our girls may not have had the good expereinces that they have. If you think about it, if anyone posts a thread the no one likes it will die a quick death and slide off the page. On the other hand is people feel they need to post in a thread it will stay on the page for awhile. It all kind of takes care of itself. Plus if you dont like a particular thread do like I do and don't open it.

I believe this works kinda like a TV remote... I personally like the individual posts about the signings! It is nice that so many girls from our area are finally started getting noticed! Maybe a little more time will pass and the college here in the eastern half of the country will come to our kids instead of going to the west to find them! Why anyone would complain about such a thing is beyond my understanding! The posts are to make the girls feel good about the accomplishments and their hard work. If you can't find happiness in that, you need to repriotitise some things in your own house! JMO CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE GIRLS THAT HAVE AND WILL SIGN! Go NC girls and SC too!

I love to hear about the older girls making it to the next level, it gives my DD something to shot for because she has practiced or played against many of these ladies. It also proves to the younger ones that hard work does pay off if you keep trying to improve every year and KEEP YOUR GRADES UP!

As far as the threads...
It is Great about the kids, hope they all have great careers....I know some of them and have told them personally how proud the softball community is of all of them.

And they have worked hard to put themselves in the position to sign a NLI. That is a H-U-G-E day for the DD and their family. If I had a way to give them a TBR trophy thanking them for assisting the softball community in gaining more attention...I would.

I can say this, nobody expected the number of players that have signed. This is incredible. I think that speaks loudly to the quality of coaching that many players are receiving as well as the increased opportunities for showcasing.

Also, I believe we have so many more members then ever before. Many players and their parents weren't members in year's past, but they are now. That's good for everybody.

I was the one who suggested putting it under one thread and stick it up top. But here is the reason.

I thought it would be nice for anyone visiting to have one thread up top, so it would be easy to find a DD that signed vs having an influx of names that pushes a player to the 2nd or 3rd page. But I understand what you are saying. It is a "day in the sun" and people would like to reply to a thread dedicated to a certain player....that's understandable. I'm all for the individual threads.

The comment made about the other threads did not need to be made. If you don't like the topic of a thread, don't read it...very simple. This forum is a softball community with a lot of friends. Many of those friends were made through their participation on this site. I love reading those threads...it lets me know we are doing it right!

Individuals v. Main thread....

....is the ? from CanAm. I guess I can see his point atleast a little bit, but DAMN CanAm, how could you not see the importance of THE SIGNING DAY! I get the the slinging snot about what one kid pitched or another hit along the way is just that, slinging snot, BUT this is THE DAY!. Let them all be recognized as individuals. I'll bet each and everyone of these kids would step up and say "I'd like first to thank my teammates for if not for them......"........maybe this is ONE time when there IS an I in team! Proud of all!
