Look how far things have progressed for the NC girls,Fastpitch has only been in this state a few years and give each one that has worked their butt off a spotlight just for them.I can remember when maybe 3 or 4 from the whole state would be the only ones signed now you have that from a single school.I say make each one a STICKY for a week.

    Hurrah

Only 2% to 4% of all girls that play HS/Travel ball sign to play college ball, U better believe it is a big deal to sign the NLI! All these young ladies and their parents, coaches, and friends should be excited and view this as a one time event! It is a once in a life time experience and is proof of the hardwork, hardships, blood, sweat, and tears, each young lady put into this wonderful accomplishment.

Hey, wish it could be placed on a billboard in each ones hometown but TBR'S is the best thing we have for these kids! Thanks for this great forum!

Yep, they deserve their day in the sun...as individuals.

It'd be nice at the end of the day for someone to compile a complete list of all those individuals who made it, with position, high school, travel team, and college.

    Just my opinion.

I think an individual thread for the girls who have signed is a great thing! These kids have worked very hard to get to the next level. These girls give up many of the recreations and normal teenage activities (basically their whole summer) that others take for granted. Beyond the memories and friendships, the only big reward for them is that hope of a scholarship and the privilege to play college softball.

There are no major leagues and million dollar contracts with huge endorsement deals. That is a shame, because the commitment level, training, and sacrifice are no less than any athlete in the big three major sports.

So I say if we can celebrate these ladies with a testament to their achievements by giving them an individual line for congratulations by all means do it.

It is the one time that there is an "I" in team...(did I steal that from Marlin?)

Anyway, it was a great idea by Guru to start a thread about the DD's that have committed and it's a great that it has expanded to individual threads.

    Salute to the '08's!!!!!
