Mount Tabor wins 40-14. They really dominated this game with over 500 yards of offense. The QB threw for 270 on 15-18 passes and Hunter Furr ran for 201 yards. The Spartans are playing really well right now and have a big game with Ashbrook next week. What are some of Ashbrook's strengths and weaknesses?

Great game by Tabor. The did a super job of keeping the Crest D on it's heels all night. They played with a lot of heart and toughness. It's always tough when you see your team beat, esp. when you go on the field and see SR's with tears in their eyes. It's was an up and down year for the Chargers, but with so many Fr and Soph that had to play a big part this year and the talent that is on the way...the future is bright.

Thanks for a great season Chargers.

As far as Tabor/Ashbrook. We were talking on the way home Friday night about how Tabor reminds us of Ashbrook with some of the things they do. Ashbrook does have a big time WR and a QB that is pretty good. If Tabor plays with the same and intensity and effort this week, I don't think they have a problem.

Check out the Gastonia papers website. They have a section call NCVarsity. It has a lot of information.

Thanks, It was a wild night. Seeing the guys on top of a motor home doing a game in the frezzing cold I think shows the dedication of the broadcst. Three stations were to do the game, but the others backed out when they couldn't get in the pressbox due to space. We do it because we love Crest football and think the kids should get the coverage.

Hope to have it cranked up again for 2008.

Yeah, the guys on top of the motor home definitely set a precedence for covering the game! I listened to you guys from the time you came on until you went off as I was walking back to one of the Crest fan charter buses. It was sad to see the Chargers lose, but I think they still had a great season. The future definitely looks bright for the Chargers with the way the middle school guys are playing! :)

BTW, do you guys have a contract for a certain number of years? Or is it year by year? I have also listened to Teamline on the web as well on the few occasions I couldn't attend a game.

I think that this is one of the best ways of coverage that the team could ask for. With radio, they have to alternate teams, and it's hard to keep up with who or when your team will be on. With Teamline, you ALWAYS know you can hear the game. The broadcast team covering the Chargers is absolutely awesome!!!

It's a year by year deal. I wish more schools would realize how well this can work. I have talked with Shelby and KM folks both that have said it would be nice to be able to dial up their team on the cell. WADA doesn't pick up well at night and WKMT (used to be) can't really be heard at night now in KM with everything being in Charlotte. Radio is a changing game and you are getting to the point where you can do everything with your cell. We feel like we have gotten in early on what can be the wave of the future as far as broadcasting goes. We wish that someone would want to do hoops or baseball. We have the equipment that that Horseshoe Club purchased so it's there when football season is over. You could have any sport that you wanted to put on. If I was a bettingman...I could see the Crest softball team picking up on this and putting their games on.
