good call braves. pitching is the key to the success of the eagles this year. olen-can't remember his last name, but he qb'ed the back half of east's football season- also returns from a season ending broken foot as a frosh and should help the pitching shape up.

Hey Bunky, will you be going to the games? You can't beat "Ed Bryant's field". There is something magical about that place....plus they have one of the great HS coach's in Chet Greeson.

Oh, and QCH wants to go to.

it is a good field. heard greeson kicked metro ball off the field at the tail end of that season, getting too much play and not enough water. flipped a lid on the marching band running some drills up there too.

i go when i can. 10 or so games last year, plus an away game or two.

Matt ended up at UNCW. During the walk-ons this fall, he and another pitcher from Indy got the attention of the coach. They were both asked (the only 2) to some workouts so they could get a closer look. At the end of a few weeks, the coach said he liked them but there just wasn't room on the roster. Matt plans to play on the club team.

Sounds like the NCAA roster size changes affected him. I bet he makes the big team next year as he's too good of a pitcher.
