    yup

wasnt trying to make anyone upset. i said belmont abbey was good nothing negative there. just not understanding how they should be going d-1 when they havent won their league or gone to a regional yet. i hope they win their league!!

yah mt. olive had the advantage of playing a ciaa school in the first round last year and saving their number 1 pitcher for round 2 of the regional. dont forget that.

what other baseball team in the country gets to hold back their number 1 for the second round in a regional tournament????

    It was

a tongue in cheek comment. It was an attempt at some light humor. It was alluding to the fact they have had a great recruiting year.

    check it out

This was the DII poll at the end of the 2007 regular season last year (I only copied/pasted the 2 closest regions out of the 4 total regions). Overall records and (Conference records) are listed below:

    South Region
    1. Tampa 42-9 (31-7)
    2. Tusculum 48-12 (28-7)
    3. Carson-Newman 36-18 (21-7)
    4. Florida Southern 40-13 (23-12)
    5. Florida Gulf Coast 38-15 (30-13)
    6. Barry 32-23 (23-21)
    7. Catawba 32-19 (16-16)
    8. Lynn 32-24 (20-18)

    South Atlantic Region
    1. Mount Olive 46-11 (32-8)
    2. GC&SU 44-12 (26-9)
    3. Columbus State 41-15 (21-8)
    4. Francis Marion 35-16 (23-16)
    5. Armstrong Atlantic State 35-20 (20-15)
    6. South Carolina-Upstate 33-23 (20-18)
    7. South Carolina-Aiken 35-20 (24-12)
    8. Belmont Abbey 31-23 (21-12)

    No. 8 ain't too shabby!!

Also, you should check out some of the DI programs. Some of those teams won less than 10 games all year.... Just because you play DI doesn't mean you play in a winning program. Just some food for thought.

Believe what you want to believe. Heck, it's Christmas! Maybe Santa will surprise my kids this year too.

    Thanks

I like to see information like that. Thanks for taking the time to look it up. I watched the D-2 title game last year. I was very impressed with both teams.
