    How about Hickory?

Speaking of, how did Alexander Central fair against Hickory last night?

I'm sure it's tough to find some of those games around here, we travel an hour to 4 different places. Crest, Forestview, TC, and Asheville for our non-conference games. I wish we played Hickory and some others like that. I guess we have to make it one more year and then McDowell can play Freedom and East Burke in non conference games..

i agree with hickory i would love to see that game especially early so that it has no effect on the rankings state wide. but crest?forestview? im not putting those down but thats not a tough game either. the schedule is fine for our girls. they have been playing the same teams for a long time and doing the same thing for a long time- winning and competing for state championships. no need in changing- if it aint broke dont fix it

Good points. I'm glad Mcdowell is playing in the glaxo this year. We may take some loses down there but I believe we'll be a better team for it. And if your going to drive 3 or 4 hours to a game make it worth wild. What good does it do to travel that far to blow out a team like burns or Cannon school,a team that looked like a middle school team at the Freedom scrimmage. I believe McDowell had them like 54-8 in the 3rd period.

I wouldn't put much stock into scrimmage scores...I think Cannon School and Freedom has the potential be an interesting game. Freedom has an advantage in the back court but Cannon may have a better front court game. Plus the fact that the game is being played at an odd time of day in an arena setting could lead to a slow start for both teams which would actually favor Cannon School more than it would Freedom.

You could be right but I'll still say Freedom by 25+ with Ali scoring about 38.:euro2:

We didn't really get a chance to watch them play when they were up at the scrimmage, I do know you guys blew them out though.. Never know on the score- odd time- in a huge arena-- hopefully we'll win big- but you just never know.

Hickory won last night 90 to 41 or 51 . Can't exactly remember. Game was over in the first 3 minutes. Alexander is improving slowly, but will not challenge anyone except maybe watauga.

Speaking of WHS, they lost to Ashe on Tuesday by double digits and beat West Caldwell last night by like 12. Looks like the lug nuts may be coming a little loose. No offense to West but that game should have been won by 20+ points. They have a game tonight against Avery. Better play better or the Vikings will come out on top.

Don't know about Crest but Forestveiw is a decent team year in and year out. Not a bad team to play non-con.
