All I want for Christmas is ............

In one maybe two sentences---If you could get the best baseball present ever what would it be?



Tickets and Motel stay at the College World Series for the entire event.

OK, a reasonble wish. Red Sox season tickets and 4 tickets to a series game with my family.

 

a set of quadruplets: 6'4" can run a 6.4- 60, throw 92, hit bombs, and one plays short, second, catch and centerfield. oh and they all pitch, with 3 good pitches

I am very fortunate... all of my needs are met!! Good family, friends, kids to coach...

For me, the coach.... since Catamount wants those 6'4 kids, he can just send me all those arms he has while he waits... and sandbaggin lessons, I am not very good at that, either...

For me the fan... a weekend of baseball, the opportunity to visit Fenway Park for a Sox game, Yankee Stadium for a Yanks game, Wrigley Field, that would be a dream trip!!

However,as long as I am able to receive the blessings I have, I will be content. Merry Christmas!!

 

A trip back in time...for just a little while!

I would like to be able to go back in time and "feel" the baseball atmosphere from the 40s/50s/60s. I'd love to feel like I have to dress up and wear a tie to a game in Wrigley or Fenway...before free agency.

I'd love to see Satchel Paige pitch in the majors....as an old man. I'd love to see Cobb, Jackson (Shoeless Joe), Mantle, Williams, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Ruth, and Mays in their prime.

In short, I'd like to know what it was like when baseball was truly our nation's love affair. I bet it was awesome!

I will take HS baseball over everything else!

A big conference showdown between the two top dogs in the hunt. To me there is nothing like it. Intense atmosphere with everything on the line. Close calls , big hits , great plays and guys getting after it with everything they have. Playing the game with pride , passion and respect for each other and the game itself. Its pure baseball. No bigtime contracts. No sumo wrestlers between innings. The show itself is the game being played. And the players are there for one reason only. To compete for their school community and each other. There is nothing else like it in the game to me.

All I want for Christmas - A Christmas day that I can spend with my family. And a very quick Jan and early Feb because Feb 11th the season begins!
