Will you have the TBR computers ready to crunch all the numbers?

Any places nearby to eat?.....since I can't eat vittles!!!

 

The plan is

right now to have a concession stand open. We have some parents that want to have coffee , drinks , gatorade etc and cook some vittles on the grill at the field. There are several places to eat just up the road. But we want to have a good option for everyone right there so they dont have to go anywhere.

Both of these motels are nice. The school is located only a couple of miles from these motels. The motels are located just off of I-85. The exit for Creedmoor is around 9 miles North of Durham on I-85. Your looking at about a 2 hour drive from the Winston Salem area.

PM me by Monday if you intend to attend. I will have to cut it off after Monday. I want to make sure that the guys coming get plenty of time to get in as many swings as they like.

Pitchers and Catchers - Any of you wishing to get in some bullpen time please come prepared to do so. There will be some currrent professional pitchers there and they will be glad to spend some time with you. Also catchers - there will be some individual instruction given by former college catchers. So bring your gear if you are interested.

The long range forcast looks like upper 50's to 60 for Saturday. So make sure you dress appropriately. And make sure you bring tennis shoes as well as cleats. Some of the drills we will be doing you will not want to do in cleats.

We will have a concession stand open during the camp. Coffee , Gatorades , Soft Drinks and some food.

Coach--this should be a lot of fun. I have done my best to have good weather, so we will see.

Thank you for doing this. What I find interesting are the different areas of the state that the players represent. It appears from all four corners and everything in between.

The other thing that I find outstanding will be the batting. Instead of looking at 8-10 swings, these guys will be getting a ton...and they will have someone giving them feedback as well (if they like).

I know that you don't care much for a "pat on your back", but you deserve many "pats" for taking your time to organize this and for putting it on. I think it is a great indication what kind of person you are.

At this time we are not going to be taking anymore players for the camp. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

 

Camp Information

We will hold the workout portion of the camp inside the aux gym at the HS starting at 8am. After hearing some whining and crying from a couple of players (names withheld for now) we will be inside for this portion of the camp. So make sure you bring some sneakers and shorts with you. After the workout is over we will take a break and then start the BP on the field. Catchers and Pitchers will be able to work with our instructors in the gym and then hit when they want to. The pitchers that are not too cold can throw outside in the bullpens with the catchers that are not too cold.

Right now the forcast is for a high of 50 with scattered mist. Perfect day for baseball! Since it stopped raining around here about 9 months ago dont worry about the mist. I look forward to seeing everyone at 8am at South Granville on Saturday. Actually the work out will now be tougher. That gym gets really hot!

I am all too familiar with Roxboro's warmth!

Lets see its 2:30 pm and 58 degrees in Creedmoor. We board the bus for a 5:00 pm start in Roxboro. We get off the bus around 3:30 and its 40 degrees in Roxboro. Game start its around 35 degrees and by the 5th inning we are all frozen. What is the deal with the weather in Roxboro? I mean you are about one hour away by bus but you get 2 inches of snow and we are sunny and 55? Crazy , just crazy!
