What if they all want it?

What if they all want it the same? I dont believe that anyone is going to want it anymore or less than anyone else. It will come down to who plays the best baseball over the course of the conference race. Who has the best pitching performances? Who gets the big hits? Who makes plays? Who executes? That will determine who wins it. It always does.

The reference to the Yankees I dont understand. Everyone knows that in a short series pitching rules over hitting. Did anyone in their right mind expect that staff the Yankees had to take them to the WS or even win it? They have their money tied up in posistion players and worn out recycled arms. On paper they were lucky to make the playoffs. And on paper they should have been knocked out in the first round and they were.

You guys are sleeping on my titans, coach please tell these people that we are on top until someone knocks us off, so come get some. Bassfishing what is your hangup with ND, White can't throw everygame, just walk the Michael kid and watch the others go down in flames. What paper is it you guys keep reading that has North as being the best, we don't read that one in clemmons. ND does have a sweet park, their county must have a grounds crew to keep it up. CPC will be entertaining as usuall.

I have always heard - "To be the man you got to beat the man." Hey West is West. What that means is they are going to be good. They have some players that will jump onto the hs scene this year that many have not heard about yet. But they will be known by the end of the year. Those youngins can play. ND is going to very good. They have some flat out studs and the supporting cast is very good. Tabor is going to be very good as well. They also have some studs and great role players. Who would be surprised if any one of these three teams won this conference? Certainly not I. BUT "West is the Champ untill someone else wins it".

They all do. You are correct. My response comes from that fact that big plays, great pitching, and great players do not always win. Comparing two close teams. What do you look for? If both were the same. Who would win? No ties. The team that is motivated. The fact that a team comes into a game stacked, great pitching, big hitters and everything needed to win. Means that they are a target. And we all know that teams that are looked at as equal but lack just that little something. Find ways to win. They go after it just that touch harder, that little extra. This is something that does not show on paper.

The Yankees are just that. Load with talent and expected to win. Torre lost his job because they failed. As far as right right mind. The boss was not in his. But, he is the boss.

Now, we have one team that everyone says on paper they will win. IMO throw away your paper. ABC:1luvu::1luvu::1luvu:

    You assume

that the team that is more talented does not want it as much as the less talented team. Why do you assume this? If all things are equal then the team that executes the best will win. Gets the big hit , pitches the best , makes the plays in the field , runs the bases better etc etc. Maybe those great players are great because they want it really bad? Maybe they want it just as bad as anyone else? I dont believe that less talented players go at it any harder than more talented players. I dont believe that they want to win anymore. I dont know who is more talented in that conference. I believe there are three very talented teams and some other good teams.

If I have my choice I want the most talent I can get. And I expect them to all want it. I do not believe for one minute that you have to be less talented to want it more. Or less talented to find a way to win. Alot of times the more talented players are more talented because they have spent more time than anyone else investing into their baseball. I know this , I would rather see a less talented team than mine in the other dugout any day of the week. The more talent you play the more "L's" you take. The more talent you have the more "W's" you make.

as i have said for the past 9 years. the cpc may be the best conference as far as parity. anyone can beat anyone, and there may be 4-5 teams in the running the last week of the season.
there are some great players on all the teams, and some good coaching. most of the fields are very well kept also. and i know this is due to the coaching staffs at those schools.
it will be another fun filled, fight to the finish season.
north and tabor have great talent
west is young but will work hard
davie is young and will be there also
reynolds had some young lefties and will be very competitive
north forsyth is getting better and will suprise a few
and as someone stated yes i am happy that south and east rowan will not be competing for the title, but will miss the great games, coaches, and players

    Norths field

The coaches and players work hard to keep the field in such good shape. Glad to hear it's appreciated by more than our own players and fans.

North Davidson's complex is very nice and so is Rich Park for Davie County. The CPC is very fortunate to have some nice fields to play on every year. I believe most of the coaching staffs take alot of pride on a nice facility. This is going to be another great year of parity in the conference with anyone being able to beat the other on any given night. As some have said in this thread I guess West Forsyth is still the team to beat. North Davidson looks very good on paper, but how many wins come from being good on paper. They have all of the tools to be very successful with pitching, chemistry, defense, leadership, and a great coaching staff. Does anyone believe a team can go undefeated in this conference? It will be very tough for any team to go undefeated this year in what is shaping up to be a great conference and very fun year with some good teams. Good luck to all of the CPC teams. About 4 weeks away from officially getting started.

Coach Pope & staff have sweat a few pounds off the past few years improving West Forsyth's facility. It's a fun but tough place to play.

Anyone who overlooks WF in the CPC race has baseball amnesia. Vegas Odds would book this 'too close to call'.
