mayberry scoring 20 points? hahahaha that kid is nothing but a big body! he'd rather foul and argue with the opposing teams coach than to play ball

 

I will say this. I have attended most games at
Alexander Central this year and tonight is the best I have seen Mayberry play. He had 18 pts. Hargrave shot the ball outside about as bad as I have seen him but he still had 20 pts and 14 or so rebounds. He missed 4 free throws in the 4th quarter which never seems to happen. A good quality win for ACHS as Billy Fisher did not play. He has been the teams 2nd or 3rd leading scorer all year. Clement finished with 15pts.

FREEDOMFAN: I would not talk to much about Mayberry just being a big body and wanting to run his mouth.

Justin Mayberry has played well this season for ACHS. He has been a good scorer for the Cougars this year as he has had many games with over 10 points and even more than 15 points. He certainly has the capability to score 20 or more on a given night as well.

ACHS as stated above beat Reynolds.
Hargrave had a solid game with 20 points and 15 boards
Mayberry added 18 points going 14 for 15 from the free throw line

Also, as mentioned, ACHS played without Billy Fisher who will probably miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury that will most likely require sujury.

Pretty close game until last 4 minutes when freedoms press started to get to WHS. Also probably FHS's worst shooting night of the year

 

Reynolds? Their basketball team? Oh you mean DJ Clement. Good for you. Im not going to argue the point, but the game at mhs, mayberry was an embarassment. Not because of his stats but the way he tried to got to hausely and the way he argued with church. He acts like a little kid, complaining to the refs, fouling every time the ball is near him, and not showing good sportmanship. I went down there to see if your record was deserving of how good your team was. boy was i wrong. Hargrave is good. I agree with the analysis that he is a mid major prospect but he has no help. No not even mayberry lol besides mhs, eb, and maybe fhs the conference is weak this year.

 

A player can have a bad game and not perform as well as they should in a game. What I am saying is that you laughed at the thought of Mayberry scoring 20 points and what not and I and trying to show you that the kid DOES have the ability to help Hargrave down low and play a big role for ACHS.

And as you said about trying to see if the team was as good as their record, then going on to say that you were wrong. ACHS was playing McDowell who is the 2nd ranked 4A team in the state and lost by only 15 points while holding their best player to only 14 points. McDowell is very athletic and is more athletic than ACHS. But dont count out the Cougars as they have the ability to surprise some people this year, and we will see if they do or not.
