Sorry guys but Roger did not "ACT" innocent tonight on 60 minutes. What a shame to look stupid answering Mike Wallace's serious questions.

I thought he did pretty well until the Lie Detector question. Other than that, I felt he did fine.

My first reaction is that I agree with you. However, if it was Bill Clinton in front of the camera, he would lie through his teeth and you couldn't tell.

So, I guess I'll just have to reserve judgement for a while.

That's politics for you. Bill had a lot of practice. RC is trying to save himself. He is like anyone else. Hand in the cookie jar and trying not to look guilty. Respect your right to wait. As they say it will all come out in the wash. Looks like a lot of dirty laundry.

    Mitchell report

My two cents worth on the whole thing is, anyone who was using these performance enhancing products when they were not illegal in baseball is let it go and correct the problem now. If they were really serious they would try to press charges since HGH and steroids are illegal by the law. We should also stop worrying about how these athletes will influence our youth. I believe that is our jobs as parents. Also i believe we should be careful about all this asterics talk also. Where will it stop. In the 60's and 70's the enhancement drug was greenies and other pills. should we go back and investigate and then put marks by players name in that era. Should we go back when blacks, latinos and other ethnics were not allowed to play and put marks by players name of that era. Mlb needs to admit that they made a mistake and go forward to correct the problems so that this great game can return to what is and that is the greatest American sport EVER. For u old schoolers steroids has been around a long time. The first time i notice it was in the 80's. Lance Parrish, Nelson Simmons of the Tigers and Juan Gonzalez, Julio Franco of the Texas Rangers. Guys these things has always been in baseball.

Interesting development today. Clemons filed suit against McNamee in court last night before he went on the air. A defamation suit. This can backfire. McNamee can counter sue. Clemons could end up dropping his suit but that doesn't mean McNamee has to drop his counter suit, if he files one, which I suspect he will.

This could get interesting. Nobody has brought this up but have you ever thought about this? What happens if Clemons claims he never knew he was injected with HGH, thinking it was B12 and Lidocaine? Could Clemons claim he had no knowledge he was being injected with HGH? Thinking is was something else all along? How does he really know what is in the syringe?

Well, we know one of the two of them is lieing and my bet is on Clemens as the liar. Look at motive. Exactly what would be McNamara's reason to lie? Millions of reasons for Clemens to lie.

Save the game and our kids

Reading the article in this weeks Sports Illustrated about Corey Gahan really hits home that these steroid athletes not only can have a bad influence on our youth BUT they can have a terrible influence on us as parents of athletes. This stuff is really dangerous and I am glad Mitchell got involved.

    Defamation of Character Suit

    From the Associated Press:

Clemens' former trainer, Brian McNamee, claimed in last month's Mitchell Report on drugs in baseball that he injected the pitcher with steroids and human growth hormone at least 16 times in 1998, 2000 and 2001. Clemens vehemently denies the allegations, and Clemens and McNamee are among five witnesses scheduled to testify before a House committee on Feb. 13. Clemens also has sued McNamee for defamation.
