What are the matchups that you are really looking forward to? The games that have an added intensity...rivalry....

The game I'm looking forward to the most is the first game that Watauga plays. It will be emotional to say the least. I hope we can get some pics of that game and post them.

    - Watauga vs South Caldwell

    - Ardrey Kell vs Providence

    - Roxboro vs South Granville

    - Mt Tabor vs North Davidson

    - West Forsyth vs MT/ND

    ...just to name a few

    Southwest Guilford and Ragsdale.

A lot of kids that played together and grew up together.

That would be a good one, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it's gonna happen unless it's the playoffs again. I think because of a late change in Ragsdale's conference schedule, it had to be cancelled and as of now, no new date has been found.

I heard that also. They changed our whole conference schedule about two weeks ago. We lost some games. I'm hoping Donnie and Reed can work it out.

Wossa...It is my understanding that Ragsdale only agreed to one game to begin with. I know when the original schedule came out, there was only one even before their change in the conference schedule.

I know the coaches have met and as of last night, it looked like the game would not happen.

    well that's a shame.

I figured a home and home was on the schedule like they used to always do. Besides the intense competition and exciting games, the money generated at the gate is always good for both schools.

Oh well - they probably will fine a way to run into each other in the post season. Maybe they can do it in the best of three round.

At least starting with the 2010 season they will be conference foes (finally) and play regular season games that really mean something.

    Wilson Fike Vs. Rocky Mount

This should be a great match up. These guys have played with and against each other for many years. Unless I'm completely fooled, these guys genuinely like and respect each other, but neither wants to lose to the other. Rocky Mount has had Fike's number for the past 2 years. If it's going to happen for Fike, it better happen this year. A split would be an accomplishment for Fike. Of course, don't rule out when both Fike and Rocky Mount have to play Northern Nash and Nash Central. Anything and I mean anything, can happen and usually does. I think I speak for Rocky Mount and Fike in that both teams would like to see Leggett (RM) and Massey (Fike) go head to head. I can gaurantee you that these guys are good friends, but they would rather die than lose to the other!

P.S. Grayben will be a good boy from here on out!

    Swain vs. West Henderson

    Mar. 13th

West is a perennial great baseball program, Swain is always a decent West area 1A program. Have played approx. 30 times with West winning them all. Hopefully, this year Coach Hyatt is breaking just a little sweat over the matchup.

Great people, great atmosphere, great game. Just looking forward to it getting here.

    What do you think Mudcat?
