    ac vs. eb

i must say that the officiating of this game was terrible...it was one of the worst officiated games i have ever seen...players being jumped on and mauled anytime they approched the basket...i know that coach wills for ac was extremely upset...and i also know that the guys had a rough practice this afternoon...i would say look for more games like the one played last friday against reynolds...the alexander boys are a very special group of guys who play well together...look for a grudge match at eb as well...

This game looked more liked a wrestling match, the WWF kind. I agree that the officiating was the worst I've seen all year. However, it was consistant. Bad all night long. The one thing I can't understand is why they let the Alexander fans stand along the sidelines all night long. I think that bleachers are in gyms for a reason. So park it. If EB fans had got up and stood in front of the Alexander bench what would have been the difference.

McDowell's student section is along the baseline too and nothing is said...I agree, the students need to be in the stands and not along the baselines & sidelines during a game.

the ac students want to be on the floor where they can "interact" with the players...i feel its the right of the students to stand there if they choose too...they arent hurting anyone there and they dont do anything to get in the way of the play of the ball game or the officials...also dont say fans as the only ones along the floor are the students...true bleachers are in a gym for a reason...and that reason is to sit if you get tired...the students at ac take pride in supporting their team so quit whining about things teenagers do...remember you were one once too...

While they may not hurt anyone, they can get in the way of the progress of the game. If a player goes after a loose ball and it touches a fan, the ball is dead. However, if the fans were in the stands where they should be, that player might have kept the ball inbounds to continue play. While the fans might think it's an advantage when the opponents lose it, its also a hinderance for the home team & vice versa. Also, the player inbounding the ball needs enough space to get the ball inbounds, not having to fight through a mob scene.

The fans need to be in the stands for two reasons, for their own safety and the safety of the players. Its gonna take two players going after a loose ball and crashing into them, possibly causing someone to get hurt - if not that of the players. While it may be fun for them, its more of a hinderance than a help.

McDowell has a great student section and I would'nt change a thing they are doing. To me those students are like a sixth player when the game is close. If the ref's think they are imposing on the game by standing on the sideline they will take action. You don't want McDowell to end up like Freedom do you? Their crowds and student body have fallen bad these past few years.

the students stand far enough back that in the place that a player would go after a ball going out of bounds that the player could do so without getting hurt...therefore there is no fighting through a mob to inbound a ball because there is an ample amount of space given...there are administrators that control the students at the game so nothing gets out of control as well...i feel that ac and mc dowell both hav egreat student sections...keep doing what you are doing...

Student sections at ac and mcdowell - keep up the good work. I am sick
of going to games and these kids busting their butts on the court and
parents sitting on there hands. I would love to see all schools with this
    spirit. Great job guys

leave the students alone they are exactly that students- the reason mcdowell has a good environment is bc the students are right on the floor and the players know they are there for them . leave all this "get them in the stands stuff at home"- its been that way for a long time and it should stay that way. thats whats wrong with things today everyone wants things politically correct- we are from MCDOWELL- we are loud and full of pride for our team keep it that way!

as for the students being in the way of loose balls i dont kow how many times i had cheerleaders and fans catch me while going for a loose ball at titan gym and that was way better than hitting my head or other body part on the bleachers. keep it up titan fans!
