Rocky Mt vs Fike (Leggett vs Massey)

This for sure needs to be the WHIG-TV game of the week. I am looking forward to watching both Dad's melt, sweat, cuss, kick and stomp for 7 innings.

SportsMom is correct in that only 1 game was planned. I can see that with them not being in the same conference. Plus we have Glenn, Rocky Mount and others.

 

Just for the record, the 60 day suspension was self imposed. I admitted I was a little out of line (OK maybe more than a little) and I quickly offered my apologies and promised to be good from here on out. Enough about that.


I think you have me confused with my man Q! I have been known to get a little excited, but I've promised my entire family (mainly wife) that 2008 will be the year of the relaxed and calm pitcher's dad. Wish me luck!

But, you do agree that the NEW 6 will be fun to watch this year?

The pins and needles NEW 6 games have been awesome in the past and this year will be special watching the seniors go at it.

Individual matchup in NEW 6 conference

Futures regular season matchup: Tyler Joyner pitching to Brian Goodwin (lefty vs lefty)...this will be a high school matchup this year BUT might we see it in College or higher some day?

 

Brian Goodwin is very, very good. No one will disagree that he is the real deal. But, on this match up, I got to go with the left handed pitcher (Joyner). I think 4 out of 5 times, he would be able to get Goodwin out. Again, Goodwin is good (real good), but Joyner is very tough and especially tough on left handed batters. His slider is filthy and he will run a fast ball in on top of you. I think most people are aware of Goodwin's abilities and more than likely coaches are going to tell their pitchers "let someone other than Goodwin beat us tonight". Just my opinion. What else do you expect from a pitcher's dad?

 

I must say, a pitcher's dad has the best opinion. I dunno why....but they sure are smart!

 

I suspect that Mudcat is already devising some secret plan to ensure that streak continues. He's crafty like that.

 

I'm just going to throw out a game that I believe the Raleigh crowd would enjoy.
