Tony, it's actually a combination of both. The McDowell defense did an excellent job the entire night on the Lady Rockets. Xandi Gellman played her best game ever defensively. Brinkley shot 3 of 14 from the field, very few of those shots down on the block. Xandi did an excellent job push Whitney away from the post and the ones that did go up from the interior were challenged by Gellman. I think the combo of Taylor and Brinkley shot a combined 6 of 30 from the field. A good part of that was caused by the McDowell defense but on the otherhand Reynolds does not have the shooters of year's past.

This game was 9 points at the half but the Lady Titans quickly pushed it into double digits after halftime. I thought it was an impressive victory especially considering McDowell's usually struggles at their place.

Thanks for the highlights Bigdan. As some may have noticed,I originally picked the lady rockets in the pick up contest Sunday night. I based that on our girls past history at Reynolds and also on the fear that Kelsey Greene may not play due to her injured hand. However as the edit date will show when it came down to it My Carolina Blue pride would not allow me to pick against the team I love most. So girls in the end I really did give you some.:luxlove:

Did you guys man them or play then 1-3-1? I figured Gellman would do well against Brinkley, just not that well..
