Just for fun, who do you think would win Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and be on the All Conference team as of right now with the first round of conference games done?

For the All Conference part, pick a starting five and a reserve.

This will be hard, as there are several very good players and coaches.

POY-- This will be heavily debated by several people but right now I see it as this. Please remember that it's just your opinion, we can all go back at the end of the year and see how "the experts" faired.
    1.. Ford--23.8 ppg in Conference
2.. Hamilton-- unsure of ppg, but it's got to be high teens to low 20's
    3.. Washington--
    4.. Brinkley

COY-- I'm biased here of course but I see first hand what Coach Fox does at Freedom and with most of the time junk defenses played against her team. I really believe she is the leading COY candidate with Franklin right up there as well.

    All Conference Selections
    1. Ali Ford--PG
    2. Ebonique Hamilton-PF
    3. Kurie Washington- SG
    4. Whitney Brinkley-C
    5. Chelsea Connelly-SF

    Alt. Kelsea Greene/Carlee Taylor

Mid-season All conference selections? Hmmm...You're correct POY will be the biggest debate.

First off you have Ford who does high the highest PPG right now. Washington is putting up 20.5 per game. Hamilton is right now only averaging about 13.8 per game but her numbers of recent are going up. With Ford's and Washington's numbers close to each other I again think it comes down to which one can pull out the the big wins late in the season.

Coach of the Year is another toss up... Franklin and Fox are the early favorites. That will be written out over the next three weeks.

    As far as All-Conference...

    E. Ross (East Burke)
    Ford (Freedom)
    Washington (McDowell)
    Hamilton (McDowell)
    Brinkley (Reynolds)

    Subs...

    Greene (McDowell)
    Connelly (Freedom)

    All-League
    Washington-MHS
    Ford-FHS
    Taylor-ACR
    Ross- EBHS
    Hamilton-MHS

POY- Ali Ford (Its this simple, take Ali away from Freedom and what do they have vs take Washington away from McDowell and what do they have) Plus you can double Ali all day but you double Washington and you get burnt.

COY- So far, Coach Fox, maybe later Jeff Parham or Klay Anderson

Since I haven't got to see every team play I can't really be fair but I'll give my 2 cents worth.

    1-Kurie Washington
    2-Ali Ford
    3-Ebonique Hamilton
    4-Elizabeth Ross
    5-Whitney Brinkley-Kelsey Greene

    sub,Chelsea Connelly

POY,so far I have to say Ali Ford. I know some will say she takes more shots than she scores points but when you have a winning horse you have to run it. Everyone knows when they play Freedom if they stop Ford they have a good chance of winning but only a select few{Kelsey Greene} can do this.

COY, Right now I would go with Brian Franklin. He has guided his team to a perfect Conference record. What else can you ask from a freshman head coach.

I would add that Coach Fox is probably the most improved coach in the conference. She did a great job against McDowell and it kept them in the game.

but realistically shots vs. pts is a ridiculous stat-
some shots count 1 pt some count 3.
Only true measure is percentage made.
Found this on maxpreps for Ford- more teams should use this site.

    Scoring/Shooting

I really don't get to see Ali play but 3 or 4 times a season. I based my comment on the 9-27 fg stat. at the McDowell game.

    COY

Just my two cents worth also. My vote would have to go to Coach Fox or Coach Parham before Coach Franklin. Franklin inherited a team from Coach Silver(3 great players and a superb bench that ia probably the best in the conference) that any of us probably could have gone undefeated in conference with. Remember that last year the Lady Titans lost only the last conference game going 11-1 and Coach Silver was not COY. Sure, Franklin had to keep them together but the table was already set. Again, just my two cents worth but think about it and who has really done the best job with what they had to work with.

i dont think that most of the people on here could win conference with the team that franklin inherited. just bc people set things in place doesnt mean he isnt the one calling the shots. silvers had one of the best coaches mcdowell has ever seen putting his talent together before he got them at west mcdowell and on the jv team later in her career. im pretty sure that he still was reguarded as the one that won the games and received the coacing awards right?
