Carolina Blues 14U-Looking for Player(s)

The Carolina Blues 14U team is looking to add one, or possibly two, outstanding players to our 2008 roster. We are particularly interested in a player who is a pitcher / middle infielder but will entertain other combinations / position tryouts for an exceptional player(s). The Carolina Blues 14U 2008 roster is composed of a quality group of young ladies from Charlotte, Mint Hill, Indian Trail, Matthews and Concord. The team has already begun indoor workouts in preparation for the 2008 season.
During the fall of 2007, this newly-formed 14U team posted a combined .550 record in NCNSA, SCNSA and NCAAU play in six tournaments from August through November with some quality wins against very good competition. We expect to be even better this spring. However, our team philosophy is not predicated on winning at all costs but is centered around player development; we endeavor to work with each player so that she becomes a better player (as opposed to always looking to find a better player). Our coaching style is a relaxed demeanor but with high expectations that are clearly communicated.

Apex Sting 16u

Apex Sting 16u has a couple of openings for the 2008 season. We are looking for pitching to compliment the staff we already have. We have a mix of ages among the young ladies that are playing with us now (9th, 10th and 11th grades). So a 14u that is ready to move up would be welcome as would anyone else that meets the 16u age requirements. We would also be interested in a utility player. We are based out of the Apex, Cary, North Carolina area and our organization has been together for 4 years. We continue to grow in the fastpitch community now having three age groups. We plan to play a competitive schedule with several “showcase” format tournaments included. Our contact for the 16u age group is Coach Melinda Cowley. You would have thought that this new team could have spent a little more time trying to come up with a more original name than Carolina Blues. The Lady Blues name has been in existence for about 8 years. Why use a name that is going to be so confusing with another organization. Maybe trying to confuse everyone was the intention.

12u, 14u, and 16u Tryout

Team TFS 12u and 14u will be having tryouts on February 2rd, at 12pm. Tryouts will be at Hawley Middle School: 2173 Brassfield Rd., Creedmoor, NC 27522. Interested players should be athletic, have travel ball experience, and committed to playing a competitive schedule and preparing for 18u Team TFS. Tryouts for 16u will be at 2:30pm at the same location mentioned above. We are looking for athletes that have previous travel ball experience. If you are looking for a competitive showcase schedule, Team TFS 16u is the place for you. College coaches are recruiting younger and younger each year. You cannot afford to wait until you get to 18u and a junior or senior in high school and try to get recruited. You have to start getting that exposure and playing the proper schedule as a freshman and sophomore. 16u-Ellie Allen @ [email protected].

All players interested in trying out make sure you notify the respective coaches above that way you can be notified of changes due to weather.

Team TFS is a professional organization with experienced coaches at each age level team. Head coaches do not have kids on the team. If possible, assistant coaches do not either. All players from the youngest to the oldest are known by the coaches and we have a true feeder system in place. Each player is just not a member of a team, but a member of the organization. Each player will be placed on a suitable age team based on skill and experience, not by age. If you are looking for an organization with coaches who have over 20 years of experience in travel ball, up to date with the instruction of softball, have a repore/connection with showcases all over the country, and with college coaches, then tryout for Team TFS.

Carolina Comets 12u looking to add a pitcher

Carolina Comets Teal 12u roster for 2008 has been full since the fall season, but we would like to add another pitcher to our staff. We are in the middle of our winter workouts in our indoor facility and with our local college staff.
