    Got an email this evening from a friend who said Carrboro HS was in dire need of a softball coach. I assume anyone interested should contact the school.
    It would be shame for a group of kids not getting to play for lack of a coach.

    West Iredell HS has been looking for a coach since the end of last season. Time is almost up.

    Could they not let Donnie, Tommy, or Tony step in? After all most of those girls have played for one or both at sometime. I'm sure they can put a teacher "figure head" in place and let these guys help out.

    This is a sad state of affairs for our kids. Unless the school were doing something to make it difficult to fill that role, this should never happen.

    If I had the time and could commit to doing it I would. Even though I have one playing high school ball right now I would drive to Carrboro and coach if it meant them either having a team or not. They are a brand new school, but that should not be a factor...someone on the staff should step up and do it if they cannot find anyone else...hopefully someone will.

    i spoke to a lady at west iredell yesterday . i guess she is the head coach, the office put me through to her.

    I agree.....

    .....and I'll add this......Isn't this entire lack of quality coaching at lots of programs the VERY reason that so many of the BEST INTENDED parents get involved only to be CUT down for some type of legal HS issue? Hey TBR, if my DD has a DUMBASS for a matj teacher, I'm yanking out of that class. If theres not enough math teachers to go around, then my DD gets left behind in her curriculum. BAM!, Some Harvard, or MIT math wiz wants to help out?????...Hell No! We've got rules to control this outside help......PHLLLLLGHHHH! Tail waggin' the dog. Props to all of you folks who are giving your time to the kids! Both the LOWLY paid teachers, AND the parents who try!

    ......my Ingish teacher in HS had a nice drop/change, but lacked spellchecking prior to a post!....well, I;m goin' with that excuse.......jeffro
