***This should not turn negative please****

I was wondering out of all the great organizations out there, who has the most signings? Cobras, Sun Devils, Magic, Curve, Cardinals, Lady Blues, Dirt Dobbers, Attitude, Storm, etc.
I'm sure I left a couple names out, sorry. I was just wondering over the history of some of the organizations, who has "bragging rights"?

Good question, I will have to call a couple people to find out about the past signings, but we have 4 so far this year and should have two more during the spring signing time.

    Cape Fear Storm

Six - yes 6 - players from the 18u Cape Fear Storms have signed letters of intent this year: Kelsy Eddinger to UNC Wilmington, Jenn Ladd to UNC Wilmington, Heather Nobles to Pfeifer, Toni Ann Williford to NC State, Landon Warren to NC State and Amanda Rothwell to Peace College. Add to those wonderful young ladies Brandi Haithcock who signed last April with Lenoir-Rhyne, that is 7 talented ladies during 2007.

    Signings

The Lady Blues had five 2008's, four D-1 signees, one JUCO, (Chipola). We also had 3 2009's to early commit to D-1's.

If you are asking since the teams started showcase or elite softball, we have 47 to sign or committ since winter 2003, the fall of 2003 was our first as 18U and we attended two showcases. Three signed that early signing period.

If you go to the Carolina Cardinals.com and check the "Old Birds" link,it lists 87 young ladies that have gotten scholarships playing for the organization over the years.

    Cape Fear Storm 18u

Add Ammanda Miller 2007 signed with Campbell, and Lizzie Goldbach 2007, also signed with Campbell University. Thats 9 talented Ladies. Storm only had 3 players to graduate in 2007 and will have 9 to graduate this year. Not bad numbers

    Teams

Cards have been around the longest so naturally they will have most signings. Would have to say Lady Blues next. These 2 teams have opened the door for rest of NC teams. Others that come to mind NC Flames, Wildcats, Cougars, Dominators, Triangle Lightning. These are eastern teams that have had strong programs with Storm already mentioned.
But, it doesn't matter which team you play on, if you do not do proper marketing, ( email coaches, short videos, schedules, TB coaches contacting, etc) then you will find yourself on the short side of recruiting. The main thing I have learned is if your interested in a school, get in touch with coach, go to their camps, Let Them Know, so they in turn will look at you.

    6-'08s signed or committed.
19 have or will play at the collegiate level since 2004, our first graduating class. The great thing is that, all that have wanted to play at the next level have done so with some monetary help. That's what we do it for! Makes all the long hours and expense worth it, right guys.
