Congrats to Mt. Olive....it's great to have a local program be so highly recognized. Speaking of D II programs, Coach Greg Goff who is now Campbell's Head Coach came from Nontevallo University in Alabama. I think the Falcons are pre-season ranked 16th. Coach Goff took an average "middle" of the pack" team and in only 4-5 years made it to the D II Championship game and last year once again made it deep into the playoffs (regional finals....I think).

I can guarantee you he will bring new life to Campbell Baseball, especially with the new scholarship requirements. He will get good players there because his enthusiasm, grit, and determination for a winning program and making his players better is contagious. I don't know that it's possible to out-work him, unless somewhere there's more than 24 hours in a day.

I don't pretend to be an expert and I'm certainly not qualified to make predictions, but I'll be very surprised if he and the CU Program do not garner alot of attention in this area in the next year or so. I've had a pro scout to tell me that Coach Goff ran one of the most efficient practices/workouts he has ever seen at the college level.

Lastly, he is extremely discipline oriented and tough, but I also believe him to be a man of strong Christian faith. If any of you guys have or know potential college baseball players I highly suggest you give him and the CU Program a look. Also, if you get a chance go down to BC and catch a game (especially you Stretchy...this is your kind of Coach!) they open up Feb 22 against Dayton.
    Take care all.

With former Stretchlon Stars Bryan Braswell, Zach Johnson, and Colin Parker there I will for sure go watch them play and hope to get to meet the new Coach. Thanks for the heads up Touch.
