Cal Ripken Jr is the best signer ever in baseball history. When my son was 11 we went to see the Orioles play in Kansas City. I always booked our rooms at the away team hotels in order to have a better chance to get autographs and even interact with the players. We waited in the lobby as the team bus was loading and when Cal was ready to board my son asked if he would sign a 20x30 framed poster of Cal. Cal responded that he never signed autographs at a hotel BUT he put his arm around my son and said if you come to the game and bring the picture down by the dugout I will be happy to sign it. I really thought this was a polite way to blow my son off but boy did Cal prove me wrong. When we got to the game Cal spotted my son with his framed picture and sure enough he came over to him and signed it. He really is an awesome signer sometimes signing hundreds of autographs after games in Baltimore and thousands at spring training. He continues to do great things for kids in baseball.

I must say that Cal Jr is definitely one of the classiest guys associated with the game!!

I don't collect autographs, but I do have two that are special

    - Joe Namath

    - Ryan Morris

Here's the funny thing. Somebody sent me a box of "Prospect Plus" cards. In it was both Justin Jackson and Madison Bumgarner....cool!

Are you on my mailing list?

I got Bill Gates, Muhammed Ali and Tiger Woods to sign pictures threw the mail. I can only hope they are real autographs.

One year I can remember sending out about 100 pictures in the mail. Most of them came back signed.

    John Maine

If you're a Mets fan, John Maine will be at alumni day for the forty niners this coming Saturday. The game starts at noon but I think the alumni are touring the new facility before the game.

I believe the alumni will be taking the field at 10AM on Saturday for a workout. John Maine, Adam Mills, Kris Rochelle, and Spencer Steedley, as well as others, are supposed to be there.

They will tour the new Hayes Stadium at 11AM and be there for the intra-squad game which starts at noon....
