    another question

Is 9th grade too early to show schools that a player has dreams of playing in the next level? I know that the coaches can't speak with them, but it seems they look (or keep up with) younger and younger talent. I have heard some say wait until 10th grade to start....????? Any comments?

    Too early?????????

There have been several 8th graders that verbally committed in basketball and at least one football star from Charlotte early committed to Wake as a HS freshman. He ended up heading to Fla and being an all-american. Point never to late or early to get on radar.:freak:

If you're gonna have a video made......

....then by all means, have it done by somone who KNOWS what, how much, and how to show the talent of your DD in the MOST efficient manner. If I were in your shoes, and a coach asked my DD for a video, I think I'd ask my kid to email said coach and ask to come to their camp or hitting clinics etc. While on campus, communication doors are wide open. If situatons exist that somehow prohibit your DD from going the camp route, and she is really interested in the school, hell yea, be proud, fork out the bucks nad make the best damn video money can buy! $300-$500 is not unreasonable from what I hear. And copies after say five or ten that you originally get cost $10-$15 apiece.

I've been asked to add this about videos....

....from a prominent user on TBR. Check this out!!!! DD emails college coach roughly 30 miles away. ( this kid is on the ACC radar ). The college coach ( minor D1 ) emails back and asks for a video! WHAT! You mean to tell me coach, that your time is sooooo valuable that you can't take the time to see this recruit in person?!!!!......ohhhhh to be in dads shoes! I'd send her a video allright! One that says shes an idiot and when she wonders why her squad continues to be at the bottom of the rankings in the conference, she can look at the rest of THIS video for a good kick in the butt, while she sits on hers after being fired for being a dumbass!

9th grade not too early to start but fill out questionarres and go to camps (as many as possible) bout all you can do by NCAA rules. Summer after sophmore and summer after junior years are probably the most important for exposure. 08's pretty much done, 09s committing. 10s on the radar

Less is more. Overdone info is just that. Keep it to the basic stats and school info. It's like the Sunday want ads. The college coach knows what he's looking for. That info needs to be easy for him to find. Do you have any idea how many of these things they see every year?
