Very, very true. Especially by my DD. Miss Betsey never failed to give Ashleigh a hug everytime she saw her. She rarely missed a game. Sometimes you would see her sitting in Moes truck watching because it was to hot or to cold.. To quote Moe from his speech at her funeral "There's one the devil didn't get"

 

Local College.....

...I will comment here. 1. ok, ok this is a preps site, so sorry to go in the next level direction, but this preps site has viewers, many, many viewers. 2. As to my comment.....there is NO excuse for the N & O to not give proper attention to the LOCAL SCHOOLS be it HS or College in fastpitch! My soapbox here.....Peace College. CDs team has bookoos of records that are newspaper worthy. Not the least of all is the very fact that its an all girls school which competes with the dynamoes in D3. Yes Methodist is generally nationally ranked ( 9th last season ) but whens the last time we picked up the paper and read something about them?!!!! 3. Peace, and I know this for a fact, has one of THE best recruiting classes of players rolling into Raleigh only to add to an awesome talented bunch in place. I hope WRAL, WRDU, the N & O, will make an effort to give us more positive press. Its that press that will help perpetuate the building of this sport!......to be continued......

 

this week

In Charlotte Observer this past week, I have seen articles on female swimmers, golfers, cross country, and basketball! Pretty nice! I think they are doing better! Last spring and fall, they had several softball players mentioned in area and of course CC, Butler, Weddington, Hopewell were mentioned in softball as well as N. Meck and Aubrey Kell.
West Charlotte girls, Butler Girls, S. Meck have all been written about several times this winter. Now there are tons of boys stories but we are getting better.
Hey I don't like the Observers policitical messages and stance but can not have it all!
