You mean the guy who told his daughter she couldn't watch the game with him because of what he might say to the ump? Also, what reputation are you speaking of?

I am normally a very social type of guy at all the games. Normally sit with the same people and generally have a good time talking with everyone. But......... when my son takes the mound, I become very quiet and normally go for a walk around the bleachers while he pitches. The pressure I put on myself is crazy, because Michael is the calmest guy on the field. Nothing seems to bother him when he pitches...............which is a good thing! Braves, ............you couldn't be more right with your Blog!!!! Amen as well, Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    shut down mode.......

At our home games, there is a picnic table near our concession stand that becomes mine and a couple of other's dad personal bench space. Everyone knows this and as we arrive they vacate. We move it to our desired vantage point and commence chit chatting. If my son is pitching, as first pitch draws near, my friends say that I go into full shutdown mode. Don't move, don't speak, just get nervous for him and hope he does well. If he isn't on the mound, and just playing 1B, I have no problems. No superstitions or special eating habits, never eat concession food during a games for fear of having to use a portapotty.:59:

    Other routines.....or not so routines.......

You failed to mention your penchant for catching line drives with your teeth just for giggles and grins prior to the game even starting!!!
