NW4A Week 9 scores...

First of all, he's not my hero. My heroes are fairly simple - My dad and my former lieutenant & sergeant (in my job). Second, Its not about moving forward or domination by the current teams....Its about paying respect to a man that started the program and built it into the perennial powerhouse that it is. 16 NW4A Titles, 8 Sectional Titles, 4 Regional Titles, a State 4A Championship and 650 wins is enough for the proper homage to be paid.

Call it whatever you want. But if you're gonna put the word "Dome" into the phrase, the name SILVER should be the first that pops up in your head.

Yep, you called it. But with the political stroke in our county, it wouldnt suprise me if that actually happened.

 

and im sure that coach tate and phyllis davis whom assisted and or trained all those girls before silvers got them should have their name on the "dome" too. i mean since they were the ones that ran the same offenses and defenses with those same girls before they even played for him. but nope no politics. we will just forget them and give him all the credit bc he was the one that was given the official title of coach. he was a good coach- but it most certainly was not just him and those titles can be attributed to his players, assistants, and to him. in that order not the other way around. im done posting on this.

That doesnt mean anything. No disrespect intended to anyone, but the only reason he's the "dean" is because he's the longest tenured.

Terry Rogers was by far the best coach in NW4A history and Burke County wont put his name nor Marsha Crump's (a virtual tie as the best girls coach in NW4A history along with Mike Silver) on the building or floor at Freedom - which is a travesty.
