We led by double digits most of the game. South mad a run and cut it to 7 or 8

 

The Lady Titans looked great tonight. They could have scored in the 100's very easily tonight. Everyone got alot of minutes tonight. Dan can give more on the scoring totals later.

 

I don't have all the details but I can say that all five starters were well into double digits with Washington leading the way with 24 points. This went from a 12-14 point game to quickly a 30 point game at halftime. East Burke was pretty much stunned by it all. The McDowell half-court offense was by far the best we have seen all season. That accompanied by good shooting and aggressive half court defense led to the rout.

 

I don't have a dog in this fight. I am just a WHS fan that has attended most of the home basketball games for the last 4 or 5 years. If anyone out there is bad mouthing Anderson then they have lost their minds or they have their own personal agenda. These girls are playing way above what they have in the past. They hustle and get on the ground. The talent level is rising. My wife and I love how this team is playing. They compete, win or lose, until the last buzzer. The wins will come.

 

Thoughts on NW4A

Those that posted about Meltdown for for ACR must be prophetic cause it hadn't happened this season but sure did last night.

All i can say about EB is WOW! They have better talent than these performances, Watauga may get another W Friday.

When was last time NW4A 3rd place teams had so many losses?
Looks like .500 will do it this year.

Only BIG game left - is FHS at McDowell next Tuesday. A game that means something! The 2 seed in the NCHSAA playoffs sucks- 1 and 3 have it much better- 2 goes thru West Charlotte.

 

I cannot express how happy I am for Coach Anderson and the girls at Watauga. They never quit, and never listened to some of you doubters and finally got it done. ACR is a two girl show and we limited Taylors looks from the outside. Brinkley had a good night but WHS used balance to get the job done.

Wheres WHSHoopsJOKE today? Coach had a game plan and executed it. For once the girls actually stepped up. I thought the new lineups tonight were great.

Now, EB has been a team that has blown us out the last 3 meetings however just from watching them its only because we played horrible in those games. If we play like we did last night we could be pulling upset #2.

anderson is the best thing to happen for whs girls,he is a great coach your crazy if you dont think they are far better than they have been,the nw4a is one of the states best womens conference ,it will take some time but he will win at watauga.

Good point Rob, I hope I can make it up to see that one. It should be good. Your daughter must have a great game. And if she doesn't I am sure you will find a way to place blame on her teammates. If you gave all the girls the support that you give her, you would be the perfect AD. BUT............

 

If Washington can play her game and not pick up her 3rd foul at the 4 minute mark of the 1st period like she did at Freedom it may be a long night for the Lady Patriots. Amber done a good job slowing down McDowell at Freedom but I believe it will be a different game at the Silver Dome. After seeing the results of the past 2 weeks I believe the Lady Titans will win by 15.
