I have always heard in the past that most softball players were not signed until the spring period. It appears to me though, that the last two years a higher percentage has signed in the early period. Who are some of the kids out there who are still waiting to decide?

Nov. 14th, National Letter of Intent....

...signing day is HUGE for the kids who have done well in the recruiting process and have D1 coaches inking them before someother team does in the spring, as I know that you are fully aware of. Your post here is awesome to point out that there are EXTREMELY talented 08s not signed. I ask TBR, What reasons might be involved?

No, not unless a kids grades are.....

...so far down that a coach sees no way in getting that kid admitted to the school.

grades????....Jesse Jones, Cape Fear Storm, and...

....West Johnston HS is one of the most pure fundamental players we will ever see. She's no dummy in the classroom either.....5.0 smarts. No doubt she has had and will continue to have offers from schools to play ball, very good schools with very good ball.

While I dont know a lot of the University coaches, I do know a few, almost all of the D1 recruits have already been signed and the coaching staffs are now looking at the 2009 sr.'s
Now this does not mean that all the D11 and D111 schools have filled there recruiting.

    Agree

If Erin will send me her profile and tell me how far she is willing to go from home and what she is looking for in an education, I feel sure I can get her something. She is flat awesome!

    why

are some in that no man's land being torn between wanting to further their education at a large D1 with no softball offer or going to a smaller (less desired for long-term career choice / academic purposes) college that could offer her softball?
