    just goes to show NOT to listen to your son who supposedly knew and told me this! will get back with all!!! My mistake/crow ok? If not whatever!!!!!

    I was told...

    that no one had heard from south granville on the knightdale side but who knows if the call was even made or what happend I just know I wanna play someone else cant wait till Saturday

    Pine Forest did not look strong at all on defense from what i saw against britt! But did hit the ball suprisingy well

    SG/Knightdale/Broughton

    Coach Worley at Knightdale was asked by Coach Comis for Broughton to be included in the scrimmage with SG Sat. Coach Worley didn't think the field, having been under renovation even as late as Fri., could handle an all day affair. I found this out in the pre-game Sat. We talked about scheduling a three-way scrimmage next year. We certainly weren't opposed to it and neither was Knightdale, it just developed late and the field conditions were the deciding factor.

    Change of venue

    The South Johnston vs Rocky Mount scrimmage has been moved to 3:30 tomorrow at Rocky Mount. Should be a good one.

    RM over SJ at the Gap

    Rocky Mount had a good day winning easily today.

    Jim Leggett tossed 3 innings allowing only 1 hit striking out the side to start the game.
    Ben Fish had 3 hits including a two run bomb.
    Brain Goodwin had two doubles.
    Chris Berry had a triple and 4 rbi's. He also tossed 3 shutout innings.
    Grant Johnson had a couple hits.

    These are the things I saw while I was umpiring so I am not sure I am 100% accurate so I hope SoutherNo1 will add some notes to this post.
