Well Maddog don't you know that since Monte left ya"ll are supposed to drop out of top ranking picture. Look at at AC they moved up in polls by him going back there. IMO Hopewell is the team to beat and East Gaston is your dark horse.:bowdown2:

AC finished 7th in final poll for 2007

Not so sure that AC moved because Monte is now there. They were a pretty good team last season, and actually finished #7 in the 2007 poll. They begin this season ranked #7 as well. Obivously time will tell if they are ranked properly, or overhyped.

Time will tell. just cause CC doesn't have Monte Sherrill coaching doesn't mean a damn thing. No disrespect to Coach S, he's a great leader, but it's the girls who are playing not the coaches. We'll see in May !! That's it for me, outta here !! Go Vikings, Go Cobras, Go Pack !!!!:wtf23:

well, it didnt take long to start the cc, ac thing. lets all try and keep it civil this year...both teams should show out well...as far as 4A, i also believe that East Gaston will have to be dealt with, Primm, the Sealey twins and supporting cast can put the numbers up.

    Question?

I can't understand what some of you guys are upset about...at least they got all of you in the right classification!! Croatan has finished in the top 8 in the state for the last two seasons and play in the East Central Conference, a tough "2A" conference. They have them as an honorable mention in "1A" this year????

I think you guys in the west do a great job of keeping the coaches informed, maybe we from the east need to communicate a little better!! Ha! Ha!

    Typing mistake!

I am sorry about the Croatan mishap, believe me it was a typing mistake and not a slight to Croatan in any way. It was corrected on the website as soon as it was realized. We apologize to any and all who are involved.

There is no way Central Cabarrus should be ranked no less than the top 3. Morgan Peeler (NC State), Ally Blake (UNC), Bethaney Wells (NC State), Pam Wade ( D1), Chelsea Hartsell ( Sure D1), Morgan Hopper (D1 future), Whitney Blackwelder (returning All Conference Performer who lead CC in hitting last season, and a very talented JV team that won a tough MECA conf title last season.
With the battery of Peeler and Blake, they can beat any team in the State and alot of college teams. This team is loaded and I do not see how they are flying under the radar.
Hopewell and Butler are also mega loaded with D1 players. It should be an interesting battle in the SW with some super pitchers in the MECA7 and SW with Audrey Kell, Providence and Weddington.
At AC, we may even win 2 or 3 games this year. :) MAybe even 4. Good Luck to all of the teams.
