    opening day

Mallard Creek lost to Mooresville 9-2. Trey Fullen and Austin Hillman pitched very well. Mikal Hill led the way offensively with 1 hit, 1 stolen base and 1 run for the first year Mavericks. Teams beware, Mooresville can throw some outstanding pitching against you.

Needed to be in a deer stand as cold as it was. Not many details. To cold to sit down had to keep moving to stay warm.

Believe it or not it's been a long time since we had multiple events going on like that. Kinda flukey. I know the Ragsdale catcher is a veteran and very talented. Made State Games as a sophomore. The Mt. Tabor catcher also played well. Made two nice plays at the plate.

Good come from behind win for the Tigers. Cold gloves, bats and timely hitting by WL staked them to a 4-0 lead after 3 1/2 innings, Coach Greer did a good job of "warming" the boys up as the came off the field to bat in the 4th. Andrew Wyant leads off with a solo home run and the tigers wake up, 2 more runs in the 5th, and 3 in the 6th. Wyant threw 5 innings, Henderson (fr) threw 2 innings. Leading hitters, Chad Rothlin 1/4 2rbi, Wyant 2/3 2 rbi, Henderson 1/2 2 runs scored, Landon Isenhour 1/2 2 runs scored 2 sb. Round 2 of the Foard/WL "winter festival" is friday at WL, please tell me it is supposed to be warmer. Braves i thought you were in charge of the weather?
