    Freedom

Freedom fans, players, administration, cheerleaders and coaches represented the NW4A with class last night! They played in a great game that could have been won by either team.

Freedom and Butler matched up in the playoffs of 2006 and 2008 and will probably have to again in 2009!

I didn't make the Monday game because I had to work but the guy's said the ref's were terrible. They weren't to bad last night. I don't believe I had to skunk them once. Freedom should be very good next year with all the players you have returning and you're right Coach Fox in becoming a premiere Coach IMO. McDowell will be rebuilding but I'm sure Coach Franklin will get the most out of them.

I would like to say Good luck to mcdowell tonight as they play East Meck. Its hard to believe basketball is almost over and we will soon be going into the last year of the nw4a conference.I got to say I will miss playing in this conference and hopefully we can still play some teams from time to time.I am already looking forward to what next year brings to the table and seeing what our girls can do.I really did enjoy this season and loved watching this team play and once again I will say I feel the girls are lucky to have a coach like coach fox who really knows how to get the best out of her team.I have a feeling next year will be a special season for our girls.I would also like to say good luck to Butler tonight as well. And btw Tony, Dont get on the refs too much tonight.Just kidding.

    East Burke-rough season?

The EB ladies had a bit of a rough season. I think alot of the reason for this was the high expectations everyone had coming in to this season. (2nd place in conf. last year and only lost one key player.)
Some of the senior girls (I don't mean only "seniors"-returning leaders) lost alot of confidence early on and never really got back to their game. I'm sure not putting all the blame on this but it sure didn't help. I'm not going to get into why this happened, it's just unfortunate that it did. The girls lost some games they should have won.
But 9 of their losses came to teams in the sectional finals:
    McDowell 3
Forestview 2 (one of the games a 4 point loss in double OT...missed a FT with 5 sec. left in a tie game for the possible win)
    East Rutherford 2
    East Meck 1
    North Meck 1

I want to thank all these young ladies for putting in 2+ hour practices all season and going out and playing hard each night..even when things weren't going great.

Oh well, there's always next year....
Good luck to McDowell, Forestview, and East Rutherford.
