    Pirates6 good to see you yesterday. Mikal Hill had a hit in 1sts at bat. That kid is going to be good. Mallard Creek is young and should do nothing but get better under Pirates6. Thanks for the compliment on Mooresville. I believe they are sleepers here. They threw yesterday in order #3 Ian Walters (jr), #2 Chris Beaver (sr), Bonaventure (soph) who can be a starter, reliever and closer. Aubrey Meadows will pitch Friday vs Carson. It was too cold to play baseball yesterday but both teams battled thru.

    My understanding is that it has been that way for years. But, there is not really anything that can be done about it. The catchers just have to do the best they can. I don't think lacrosse played on the football field last year so it could be a bigger problem this year having soccer and boys and girls lacrosse going on that the same time.

    Ragsdale just has to hope they don't have too many lacrosse and soccer games at the same time as baseball this year.
    Maybe the Tiger catcher can find a trick to adjust and turn it into a home field advantage:4:

    Asheville High vs. AC Reynolds postponed due to rain on Tuesday, and snow on Wednesday and today. Not sure when make-up will be.

    Speaking as someone from the area but not at that game, I can tell you that any game between those two teams will be hard fought and emotional. The schools are about five miles apart and split the old South View school district and the town of Hope Mills in half. Good sports tradition at both schools. CAll it neighbor vs neighbor.

    North Davidson opened with a chilly 10-0 win over county rival East Davidson. Balanced hitting with everyone getting involved. Clay Watson & Zach White split time giving up 2 hits in 5 innings.

    My personal smile moment was watching Levi Michael (UNC) & Tyler Hanover (LSU) turn a double play. Poetry in motion...It's worth showing up for warm-ups.

    east meck had their tuesday and wednesday games postponed because garinger and w clt weren't "ready". they meet a "ready" e gaston and kannapolis teams the next two days. a downer since it would have been nice to shake some opening week jitters before now.
